Yes you can. A couple of projects have used them but I have heard that they can have issues with interference. I think those are the same lights. A good person would be to ask the Greek Gods project. I believe he used them.

Wait I misspoke. Give me a second.

Okay. Sorry I was thinking of the Cuphead project. Greek Gods does use serial RGB LED's but they are a different type and I believe he is the one who talked about there being errors due to interference. Anyway. Wish I was more help.

If those have issues, is there a better alternative?

check out lyonsden ( professor pinball) pinduino kits. He uses these for GI in spider-man and a few others.

I'm just using these https://www.pinballlife.com/p3-roc-single-rgb-gi-pcb-assembly.html They aren't serial but they are addressable and integrate well with the Multimorphic LED boards.

what game are you looking to do this with ?

Those or some iteration of them have been used in quite a few homebrews. Can’t speak to interference broadly but I’ve had no issues thus far with mine.

Serial LEDs are easy to use in MPF. You can use WS2811 christmas lights as GIs. I use a few hundred of those in my machine. Docs are here: https://docs.missionpinball.org/en/latest/mechs/lights/leds.html#serial-leds and https://docs.missionpinball.org/en/latest/mechs/lights/ws2812.html.

I had interference on the audio line with my WS2812 lights. I added a ground loop isolator to my speakers and it went away.
