You're delusional if you think Energizer is going to refund anything close to 350 for a thirty year old circuit board. Also, if you send them this board, you will never see it again so if it's repairable it would be better to keep it.

No sense in starting a fight you can't win. The smart thing to do is stop buying their product.

    Quoted from ForceFlow:

The thing is that they have a no-leak guarantee. The point of this thread is to actually test whether or not they will stand by that with a circuit board like this.

Yes, they have a no-leak guarantee but as defined by THEIR lawyers. It's a naive and futile pursuit IMO. Just sayin.

    Quoted from DefaultGen:

It's more fun to send Energizer a wasted circuit board and see what happens than to have a wasted circuit board. I can't imagine Vid is going full Soccer Mom "I demand a refund and free stuff!!" on the battery companies after years of dealing with acid damage.

I see your point but really all he's going to end up with is an insult( via a cheesy coupon or endless runaround). If that sounds like fun then go for it. The only solution to bad product is holding onto our money.

    Quoted from ForceFlow:

Then we will know for sure how Energizer will handle the issue, rather than guessing wildly.

Nothing wild about my guess. There is no possible way that vid1900 will see signifigant compensation.

    Quoted from thedefog:

There is always sense in starting a fight your can't win. The US wouldn't exist if people all thought this way. Go Vid go!

    Classic extrapolation exaggeration.

If we were all optimists we'd still be trying to reach Harry Houdini on our ouiji boards.

    Quoted from rcbrown316:

Note to Vid. Mattster has spoken. The conviction conveyed in his words is a guaranty that you will fail. With wisdom like this there is no need to pursue anything out of the ordinary in the great all-knowing mind of the master-mattster...

I love when somebody responds to one of my posts exactly the way I would have responded had someone else said it.
    Thanks!

    Quoted from vid1900:

That's the only way I can reach him lately.

LOL. I sincerely hope I'm wrong and Energizer stands by their guaranty.

    Quoted from vid1900:

$318 I think was the total.

I'll just repair the old one.
At my usual service rate, I'll probably break even on the $300.

    Congrats!
Now I can't help but wonder what the hell else am I wrong about!?

    Quoted from HighVoltage:

That's it? After the way you shot your mouth off?

    Yup.
I was wrong about whether he would get a refund check, not about whether he murdered his family or not.

    Quoted from thedefog:

I never do this sort of thing, because it is petty, but fuck it....here I go.

Hey, I don't mind these posts because I got owned in this thread but I know that every one us gets it wrong from time to time. No exceptions. So yes, I feel stupid but what can I say, I'm human.
