I have owned a MM out of the box new in the late '90's. Those of you who have opened a NIB pin know the feeling of the first few plays. I got the same, not similar, but THE SAME feeling playing an MMr out-of-box for the first time. Not cheap feeling like I'd expected. Not 'Sterny' and very tight. YMMV, but truthfully it's really all in the mind how one perceives how these pins play differently. Like it or not, but MMr is a sound follow-up to the original. That said, I'd sell my original and go with an MMr.
