Im selling my 1982 Space Shuttle. I have a guy interested in Washington and was wondering how to go about this.

How should I get payment? Ive heard horror stories about paypal.

He wants to use Pilot Air for shipping. Anyone ever use them?

Also any other advice would be greatly appreiciated as I have never done this before. Thanks guys!

Get cash, check, money order, cashier's check, etc. and wait for it to clear. Make it clear to the buyer that there will be some delay, and if he has a problem with that let the sale go.

Postal Money orders are a good way to go. For shipping, try coinopshippers.com. They are a shipper broker, but seem to be offering good quotes for door-to-door insured shipping. I've only quoted shipping with them so far, so I can't speak to the overall experience yet. Just be aware that the shippers they work with seem to require a pallet. I don't know if this requirement is for all jobs, or only certain shippers.

Sell local or keep it .. my advice. Shipping etc isn't worth the hassle unless you are a big company.

If you do sell that way get a money order or cashiers check and let the buyer arrange pickup and shipping. Then still take many pics of it before shipping.

Only accept a cashiers check - cash is best. Money orders can be canceled if the buyer goes through the proper process! If you take the cashiers check, I'd go down and hammer it at the bank before shipping the pin.

Heres some advice on selling and i have done this before is make an agreement
with the buyer and ask him if it would be ok to list it on Ebay at a "buy it now"
option and have him purchase it thru the Ebay system that way theres proof
of purchase and let him handle his own pickup or shipping.Pilot air will only
ship a game if it is crated and on a pallet.

I deal with PayPal daily at work and cannot believe that anyone would accept it for a pinball....No matter what their policies are, if there is a case of fraud good luck working it out in a reasonable amount of time. Money in the bank by cashiers check or money order first.
