Wow, I'm surprised to see all of the people saying "I would never ship!!!" If everyone had that mentality, I wouldn't have any pins yet... I purchased my first two pins this year and had initial conversation through DM, and then a combination of texts and a phone call or two, and both went great. We didn't use escrow either, although I offered.

I agree that in the OP's case, it seems suspicious, but don't dismiss shipping out of hand...
