I'm a newbie whose only extensive experience under the playfield is with my solid state BOP. I'm looking for a cheap EM to expand my knowledge of earlier pins and found a mostly-working FACES (with schematic) that I can probably pick up for a couple hundred bucks. My question is, are these Spanish-made EMs fundamentally the same as the Chicago-made EMs? Or are there some eccentricities that would make it a (more than usual) frustrating experience for someone with no EM experience?

Quoted from zacaj:

Sonic / Segasa ems are the same internally as Williams ems

That's what I was hoping to hear. Thanks!
