I was trying to fix a problem with the left sling and upper vuk not firing. I found the problems (1 output on each IC) to be U1 and U2 (74HCT273) on the driver board. I went ahead and changed U2 with a 74HC273, and thought I would try it out to see if the one of my two coils that were not working now fired.
I put the board back in, turned the game on, and now the GI pulses in sync with L204 flashing for 5 seconds, then just L204 keeps flashing. Also the X-Wing mech is pulsing as well with the flashing of L204. The game boots and will start a game. Lamps are cycling in attract mode, but now several are stuck on.

I checked the datasheets on both 74HC273, which is what I installed with 74HCT273, which is what was originally installed, and they are the same.

Does anyone have any ideas?
