What should I be looking at? I've reseated roms and reseated ribbon cables :/

Communication between the CPU and DMD driver is likely lost. Check for battery leakage below the batteries on the CPU.
The DMD boots with its own processor, and that's what you're seeing, the DMD driver booting, but no control from the CPU.
