Apollo 13
Batman Forever
Baywatch
Godzilla
GoldenEye
Golden Cue
Harley Davidson
Independence Day
Lost in Space
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein
Maverick
South Park
Space Jam
Star Wars Trilogy
Starship Troopers
The Lost World: Jurassic Park
The X-Files
Twister
Viper Night Drivin'

The above is an impressive list of great games. Sega produced some sweet titles. Which one is the best?

I'd do a poll but there are too many to consider.

I'm going with Star Ship Troopers but Godzilla and Apollo 13 are both also awesome.

Starship troopers

I own what I feel are the best 5.

Goldeneye
Apollo 13
Batman Forever
Godzilla
Starship Troopers

There are others that are good...
Twister
ID4
Maverick
Frankenstein (I don't like it, but others do)

#4 8 years ago

For me
Star Wars Trilogy is the best
Mary Shelley's Frankenstein a close 2nd

#5 8 years ago

Id say goldeneye and starship troopers.

I love xfiles, but would not say its the best from a somewhat objective point of view.

Baywatch has really good shots and ruleset if you can get past the Hoff.
BF was very difficult and I could not stand the "Riddle Me This" quote.
SST is very fun (for me) and probably the one I would like to own the most.

I forgot Baywatch. That's a really great game.

Viper Night Drivin' is the only SEGA I've sold because I really disliked it. It's pretty bad.

SST is a great game. I do enjoy Frankenstein and Lost In Space though I wish LIS had a deeper ruleset.

#9 8 years ago

Goldeneye and Baywatch, most definitely.

#10 8 years ago

Space jam due to its unbelievably great playfield art

#11 8 years ago

Of the sega games I have played I really like Godzilla, stt, batman forever.

I still have not played Apollo 13 and I really want to.

#12 8 years ago

Frankenstein fast play great music Baywatch is a fun game also just get one of those excellent alternative translites for Baywatch

#13 8 years ago

Frankenstein is pretty cool. Great Playfield artwork, killer music, and decent shots. All the sega's seems to have good multi-balls too

#15 8 years ago

Independance has some nice tight ramp shots with great flow when you start comboing the ramps.

#16 8 years ago

SST by a mile.
Agree Baywatch PLAYS great. Terrible theme.

SWTrilogy is the armpit of Sega. Ick.

#18 8 years ago

Baywatch is the best of the bunch.

Starship Troopers

Agreed.....and the order I would put them in would change from month to month.

#21 8 years ago

Baywatch and SST are honestly GREAT games!

#22 8 years ago

Love me some Baywatch!

#23 8 years ago

1)SST
2)Bay watch
3)Apollo 13
4)Goldeneye

BW hate the artwork and theme doesn't do much for me but fun game
Maverick-fun rule set and game if you don't mind the paddlewheel slowing things a bit.
BF fun game that does sometimes get compared to ST:TNG
Apollo 13 I love psace and space travel themes and gameplay on this. If I owned it would probably not have it set up for the 13 ball multiball except for guests, but fun a few times to do that.

#25 8 years ago

recently got a BF and am really digging it. Dont have a ton of time on the others but would like to play more Maverick and SST

#26 8 years ago

MSF has a lot going for it.

#27 8 years ago

SST. It's a killer game. Looks great with LEDs too.

#28 8 years ago

Goldeneye
Baywatch
SST

#29 8 years ago

Baywatch, Goldeneye, Starship Troopers...in that order.

#30 8 years ago

I'm stunned to see the love Baywatch gets. I think it was the theme and art package that probably made me prejudge it too harshly. I will need to reconsider it and put more time on one.

And BW made the best use of Sega's oversized DMD (with BF placing second).

Top 5 in order:
- Starship Troopers
- Baywatch
- Batman Forever
- Frankenstein
- Apollo 13

Goldeneye is easily my favourite SEGA satellite and magnet save are both awesome toys and the modes are great imo.

Baywatch shoots great just the theme and sound package kills it - would make an awesome pin to retheme - I've considered retheming one as maybe Total Recall?!?

SST like the movie a fun guilty pleasure!

Twister is also kinda fun it's just that repetitive sound clip arghh!

Never played ID4 but heard decent things about it.

#34 8 years ago

Goldeneye for me.

#35 8 years ago

I've only played about half of them, but of the ones I have played, I'd have to say Baywatch is the best. The theme and dots are lacking for me, but it has some very well thought out flow. To get the biggest points you need to shoot every part of the playfield and you need to have a plan on where you are going to shoot next.

Goldeye by a mile.. I've owned a few Segas-Twister, MSF, SST, Baywatch, to name a few.

#37 8 years ago

Viper Night Drivin' is awesome and easily my favorite Sega.

Starship Troopers, Baywatch, and Batman Forever are all pretty good.

#38 8 years ago

Frankenstein!

#39 8 years ago

Will never part with my Frankenstein!

Just picked up my first Sega, Godzilla. I have to say this is a pretty good game if you like multiball play. I like Baywatch and to a lesser extent SST. I've been tainted by SST slightly because of a bad example on location years back.

#42 8 years ago

Baywatch

#43 8 years ago

Batman Forever ranks fairly high here on Pinside, amongst the Sega pins. It still holds it's value around $2500-3000. I really enjoyed it when I had it in my collection. Pretty looking pin too.

The other excellent Sega game is Baywatch, great playing game with lots of cool ramps. If the theme, art and sound/music all better, this game would rank so much higher. Very underrated pin.

#44 8 years ago

I have (and had) many sega games! My favorite is sst , also my favorite movie.
Baywatch is a close second , having shopped one completely I must say I even like the art
Great game and sounds!

Id4 and lis look great but are to shallow for me to keep. Really wished they had more dept in them.

Hope to find a godzilla one day just to play.

Greetings,

Bas

My appreciation of this title is steadily improving. I first played only a routed example but now that I've played two good ones I see how good this game actually is. I need to revisit my ranking on the title again.

Starship Troopers! Do you want to live forever???

#47 7 years ago

X-Files/Troopers/GodZilla

#48 7 years ago

Batman Forever

#49 7 years ago

Has to be Baywatch.

#50 7 years ago

Baywatch is #1 easily. A13 and Maverick are close second. Lost, Mary and Frank get 3rd place. The remaining ones are not bad if the coin door said, "5 cents".
