Quoted from ZNET:Missile holds the "most affordable Sega EM arcade" title, I suspect. While it's not particularly innovative, like some of Sega's other games of the era, Missile is both fun and good looking.
The front cabinet molding shows up damaged on 95% of this title. Also, the front doors are often ill-fitting and the backglass is prone to degradation.
This example appears to be in above average condition. There was one at Pinfest 2018 earlier this month (for only $600, as I recall) in average shape.
Most Sega EM arcades had their own formica-like cabinet. Missile has that fairly robust surface. In contrast, Lunar Rescue has a painted cabinet. That is why the Lunar Rescues which turn up all seem to have peeled and faded paint. My Lunar Rescue has a repainted cabinet. . .deep blue instead of the original sky blue. Actually, the deep blue makes more sense since the depicted planets would not be ensconced in a light blue atmosphere. Alas, I plan to repaint it to the original sky blue, even though it's artistic nonsense.
Thanks for the info. I always enjoy reading about the Sega games.
