Probably been asked before, but what did you use for your LED strips in the head? I have been using Walmart under counter LED lights stripped down for my slot machine belly lighting.

Quoted from gdonovan:

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/blog/2022/10/18/new-england-power-officials-warn-of-pending-winter-crisis-as-natual-gas-prices-skyrocket-and-electricity-is-likely-to-be-rationed/
"New England ISO expects the grid will be stable if there’s a mild-to-moderate winter. However, if there’s an extreme cold spell across the Northeast, then grid chaos could unfold: “The grid overall is in a much tighter position."
Glad I started on the solar this summer, I need to get the next dozen panels up on the roof ASAP. Massachusetts utilities have already asked to hike rates an astounding 64%, Connecticut will not be far behind.
Rolling blackouts are actually being discussed.

We in RI got hit with a 47% increase on electric, nuts..

Quoted from gdonovan:

While boxing up the Trek parts for storage poked at the MPU for 10 minutes. After replacing the 6800 and cleaning some legs I got it to boot up but it hangs right after. Sockets not looking so good so put in repair pile for further investigation when slow.

I spent way too much time getting my Eight Ball mpu to function (Was successful, but took weeks) ...then I saw a guy on here that sold fully rebuilt MPU's for $65 and was like...Seriously?

Quoted from gdonovan:

Frankly I do it for the entertainment at this point, though I have drawn the line on boards that have extensive battery puke now.
Had a free EK that I tried bring back to life but it just was too far gone so stripped it for parts.
The odd Bally -35 comes up for sale around $60-$75 shipped if you are patient. The Trek one is some what clean and I should be able to track down the cause of lock up after the last flash. Make a good unit for bench testing various components.

My main issue turned out to be a faulty U8
