For any curious onlookers, there are a few adjustments for the search disc, one of the easiest ones is to loosed the screws that hold the search disc magnet coil in place and slide if backwards or forwards to change where the wipers stop.

Before doing that, I consult the manual to see if the rivets on which it stops are 'hot' and tighten the magnet screws if not (to prevent it from drifting further). There are often a few different positions which are 'dead' and don't have any wiring hooked up. It's safe for the wipers to stop anywhere in this range. I do like them to line up pretty close to 0 if possible.

There are other adjustments, but this is the easiest one!
