The last Solenoid Driver board I worked on I added the jumper wire from TP1 to TP3 - see first photo. I understood that the reason was because the 5 volts goes from TP1 out through a connector then back through another connector on to TP3.

Now working on this board the TP3 is in a different location. So I checked continuity from TP1 to TP3 and it shows I have continuity between them without any connector attached. Is there any reason why I need to add the jumper?

Thanks

Bob

EDIT - second photo shows TP5 - should be TP3

If it's a zero ohm connection between TP1 and TP3 already, then you don't have to connect them.

Don't mix up TP5 and TP3, or you will blow stuff up!

Thanks Vid - I just saw my mistake. I meant TP3 not TP5.

I gotta be more careful.
