Been replacing all my coil sleeves as part of my Dr. Dude shop job and encountering a large number of machine screws (6) that have literally broken off upon being loosened or tightened with far less torque than you'd expect this to occur with. Happened with all 4 screws on the slingshots and both screws that mount the coil to the 4-bank target assembly.

Is this a thing that happens with 25 year old machines? I'm not applying a heck of a lot of torque here and I've never witnessed a screw break so easily. It's not a big deal on the slingshots since I can just get replacement screws/nuts...but the screw mounts on the target assembly are welded in so apparently the entire assembly needs to be replaced...

Anyone know someone that carries the 4-bank metal assembly (C-13451)? OR anyone have a way to mount the coil to the assembly using some other means? Can't just stick a screw in since the back side needs to be flat (targets move up/down against it).

No, the wood screws are fine, probably because they are going in wood and generating much less torque. These are all machine screws. All except the 4-drop assembly were coil mounts with phillips head on one side, nut on the other. Coil mounts with screws welded onto the assembly had no issues. No signs of lock-tite.

Here they are. First one is the one that broke off. Part of the screw is still there, stops the coil from moving side to side but obviously not holding it to assembly.

Second one is one that I felt either snap or the mount broke from the assembly but is not out yet (it's holding but I felt it go loose so can't rely on it going forward)

Last one is the opposite side showing the flat [riveted?] end that the targets slide by. The other one is not pictured, it's a half inch to the right (actually above the way this pic is oriented) of this one hidden behind a target.

Vid - thanks. Let me ask - will epoxy work in the interim? Also, Marco carries 3-bank and 5-bank assemblies, no 4-bank. Know anyone that carries the 4-bank assembly?
