I can’t remember exactly when I ordered (early, but not first minute!), and I’m in batch #4!
Quoted from Max_Badazz:I ordered within seconds and thought I was #13 based on everyone's order number and in batch 2... boo.
July thrid batch here and a minute one order. Looks like it will be September/October! I guess Ill just have to "live" with Weird Al, Heist, and Cosmic Cart in the P3 until then.

That's the good thing about this .... just gives me more time with the other modules (I can't stop playing Cannon Lagoon and the download games that go with it). Still stinks not to have it for league and tourneys this summer ... maybe I just need to order another module in the meantime

Stares intently at Drained...
Quoted from paulbaptiste:What was the timeline shared for the batch numbers?
From the email
Current expectations are for production to begin in late June, with shipments starting in early July. We expect all orders received so far to ship within 6 months of the start of production and have divided the orders into 6 batches. Depending on our production ramp, each batch should take approximately 1 month to build and ship.
I tried to have a little fun at the expense of the people not in the first batch.
The truth is there may be a small advantage being in a later batch as some initial production kinks may get worked out.

That's how I'm approaching the situation: later batch = better build quality! (I just found out I'm in batch 6)
I ordered on May 9 and I am in batch 6. This will give me time to get acquainted with all of the play fields. (I am enjoying Lexy Lightspeed.)

It's not getting as much attention since the other playfields have been released, but it shoots SO great. I seriously wish Multimorphic would release a revamped version with more updated graphics!

Seconded!!!!
I think this is maybe the third time you mentioned wanted a Lexy graphics upgrade, and the third time I seconded.
Hopefully, they will soon get the hint.

HAHA probably the 10th time! But I know they can since Steven Silver is on staff, and I know they’re selling way more machines now. I don’t know how the budget would need to work, but I know they’ve considered it since there is the “alternate” Lexy artwork.
And yes I would pay for the upgrade - (within reason - maybe like $100, $150)

I'll pay $500 for Heist, the 2nd chapter...
I really think that is something that is totally possible on P3. They can create a sequel, broaden the story, build a world that they can continue to return to without creating a new module. I really hope they can do that. To me, Heist is the perfect game for that and showcases more than any other module what's possible. As we keep getting more full fledged modules, present game thread included, I don't know why they wouldn't. I'd love for their to be a continuation to Final Resistance...
I really hope they do this with games that are well received. It breathes live into older games without having to start from scratch with a new story, or lesser product in an add on game.

I'd without a doubt pay for more songs on Flipper Foxtrot Rhythm. They have Scott D on the team already, just put all of his tunes as a music pack and I'll whip out that charge card
Quoted from Max_Badazz:Flipper Foxtrot Rhythm.
Third party game. bingopodcast's game. More songs is his decision.
Quoted from Max_Badazz:I'd without a doubt pay for more songs on Flipper Foxtrot Rhythm.
Adding songs to Flipper Foxtrot is something I'd love to do, given a lot of time - something which I am in short supply of these days. Thank you for playing!
I've licensed two tracks from Scott that are in the game today, and I'd love to work with him more in the future.
I'm looking forward to receiving my FR and hearing Scott's new music!

Not soon enough

I'd be surprised to see mine before September. Probably going to have to let Cosmic Kart go to fund it.

Not CCR!!! I was trying to come up with extra jobs to help fund these modules….
Quoted from paulbaptiste:I hope we are getting close!!
Haven’t heard of anyone getting invoiced yet.
Quoted from rockrand:Wasn’t production suppose to start end of April?
That may have been the inital swag... but from May 2023 update:
Regarding Final Resistance, we've had to bump the start of production a few weeks as we continue waiting for all of the production parts to arrive and meet our specifications. We're currently looking at late June or early July to begin building the playfields. That said, with our larger playfield production team in place, we expect it to take less than 6 months to ship all existing Final Resistance orders to current P3 owners.
Then later in May I got an update for my batch that said:
production to begin in late June, with shipments starting in early July
That's the only thing I've heard and was captured by pinball magazine back in early june.
From mm email
Final Resistance (FR) is the only game kit with production challenges remaining. We expected to begin shipping FR game kits earlier this month, but we're still waiting on replacements for some parts that didn't meet our specifications. Therefore, it may still be another few weeks before FR production begins. When it does begin, we plan to work through the order queue faster than our estimates. So the first batch or two of FR shipments will be a little delayed, but customers in subsequent batches will likely see their game kits ahead of schedule.
While FR production is a little delayed, FR software development has continued unfettered. We're currently testing our 1.0.0.0 release, which is feature complete (and absolutely amazing). We're looking forward to seeing people unbox their new Final Resistance game kits and immediately enjoy the complete experience.
We'll have Final Resistance and Weird Al's Museum of Natural Hilarity on display at the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta July 28-30.
Someone might be able to jump in line:
We'll have Final Resistance and Weird Al's Museum of Natural Hilarity on display at the Southern-Fried Gaming Expo in Atlanta July 28-30. The P3s will be new machines from our show allocation, unboxed at the event, and they're currently available for pre-sale to anybody wanting to take them home from the show. Please email us at sales at multimorphic dot com for show-special details if you're interested. Priority will be given to those who already have a P3 on order and want to get their machine a little earlier. Otherwise, we'll reach out on Thursday 7/20 to those with new inquiries. Note - the Final Resistance game kit at the show will be one of our prototypes, but we'll exchange it with a new production game kit after existing FR game kit orders have all shipped.
I'll be at the show throughout the weekend, looking forward to talking to everybody about the P3 and the growing library of games. I'll also be presenting a seminar at 2:30pm ET on Saturday 7/29.
on either a weird AL or a FR.
I posted the complete unmodified update here:

You taking it home?
Quoted from Zitt:You taking it home?
It is out of my price range, but absent that, I would.
Got several plays on FR at SFGE and it exceeded my expectations in every way. Definitely one of the fastest games I’ve ever played, but all the shots & returns are fair. The music, lighting and overall orchestration of the game are also great. You definitely can feel the sound more than the other P3 modules. Very immersive. Had three friends that don’t own P3”s say it was their favorite new machine at the show. Was patiently waiting but can’t wait to get my module now.

Hope they get those parts in soon! No idea where I am in the queue, but waiting... And I just spent my FR playfield money on a deposit for a new guitar, so I'm going to have to go make some more money in a jiffy.. lol!

You should have received an email a month-ish ago... Telling you what batch your in and when the expected batch start in.
I put about 6 or 7 two player games on FR at SFGE with my brother, and we both thought it was very solid. Great game. Love the theme and style, the ship mech is very cool, the spinner with counter display is really sweet, both counting up and down with different modes. And the soundtrack was thumping.
I saw multiple groups of players saying very positive things about it after/while playing.
This was the first P3 I've tried, and it shot well. Over $10k for a machine is a no-go for me, but otherwise I'd be very tempted for FR. I felt like the flippers were maybe slightly weaker than I'd like, but it was being played non-stop for hours so no way they weren't good and hot - I felt the same with most games at the show really.
Anyway, two thumbs up for FR from me.
Quoted from PinKopf:Over $10k for a machine is a no-go for me,
Here comes the pitch.
I’m gaining interest in P3 because of FR. I may just have to place my deposit.
Looks like a great package. Best to go through the website? Or a dealer?
Thanks gang.

Thanks Zitt… no email that I can find. I must be overlooking it. I’ve received Gerry’s regular “public” updates.

I received my group number for FR from Gerry back on 5/23. So maybe look around then, to see if you have another email from him.

EDIT: had to correct myself. I found my preorder email - batch 4 of 6. Not sure how many are in a batch? I’m guessing I’ll be some time in December based on their timetables (and assuming production starts in august)
Sorry, I'm at SFGE with Gerry helping out so I dont have access to my email archive. Sounds like your sorted tho

I’m in the same batch. Order placed at 10:04
$0.02 from a non-P3 person -- I played FR at SFGE and really enjoyed it! I loved that it used the virtual section to display an "insert" layout so it felt a little closer to traditional pinball -- I think this feature is going to help reign in more folks who've been resistant to the P3's appearance/layout. I also loved the little animations highlighting the next shot needed for combos/objectives. (I've always felt these sorts of animations are one of virtual pinball's strong suits.)
The music was great, the spaceship cannon was exciting, definitely the most fun I've had on a P3 to date. Congrats to those in line to get one!
Full disclosure, I've never played one. Back when they started it was too rich for my blood. Now, I just have initial purchase sticker shock.
I understand after the initial purchase you can essentially get a "new game" for ~$3K and that's a super sweet deal, and the modularity aspect is really neat!
But I do think it's fair to say that the initial $11K price tag is likely keeping a goodly amount of people at bay. Everyone has a budget. Just like the social economic class break down, there are more middle class than the rest. That means there's a "sweet spot". $11k (plus shipping?) isn't it. No offense it's just not.
Xbox and Steamdeck business models have always relied upon game sales - not the consoles themselves. Look at the revenue they're raking in.
I don't see why the very same "proven" successful model cannot be applied here? Offer an affordable piece of hardware to put games on and games they will indeed buy. If it were me, I'd offer the base unit for a little more than actual cost to cover expenses and then keep game module prices the same. More people will buy in because they can actually afford it and I can only surmise the "loss" of revenue from machine sales will "eventually" equal and surpass normal year end totals thanks to module sales increasing. Of course, the pressure is on the dev team. One crappy release could spell trouble so they'd effectively always want to have another title almost ready to release shortly after that one in case it bombed.
Trying to scrape together $3K for a new module is a lot easier than $8K for a new pin.
Anyway, just my .02 and best of luck to MM!
I am pretty new to the hobby, but the P3 certainly seems to offer more of a Stern Premium experience rather than a Pro one. The cost is not that far off then. Same goes with a new Spooky, JJP, CGC, etc...
I get your point, but gaming consoles are a lot less expensive to produce and procure parts for. Especially for industry giants like Microsoft, Nintendo, and Sony. Multimorphic seems to be growing a lot (yay!), but is still super small potatoes compared to the type of company that can loss lead like that.
