Well yes if it's only doing it after the scores and bonus reset, it's trying to kick out the ball to start the game. It's not necessarily a problem in itself. Your outhole switch is likely stuck. It won't only fire once, it's going to fire itself over and over until it is sure it got the ball up and out. If the outhole switch is stuck it will loop endlessly rather than waiting for the ball to possibly roll back down into the outhole through the trough.
(They are designed to account for errors like the ball not making it all the way up the trough, and if the switch is stuck it's basically the equivalent to "oh, the ball landed in the hole again immediately, we better fire it up again and try again")
