I'm having a problem with my score display on player #4 of my Bally KISS pinball machine. There is a single line out. Sometimes it works and its there but most of the time it's out. Check out the video below to see whats happening. Any ideas on how I could fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bad news.
A single segment of a single digit is a display glass issue.
You could move the display to the ball in play/credit position but you'll still see the segment intermittent.
Only remedy is to replace the display.

Do you recommend a replacement display? I was looking at the Pinscore displays but they seem to have commas in them which I'm not too fond of considering I don't think the early Bally KISS pinball machines had commas.

Pinscore displays have a small jumper that can be installed or removed to light the commas. As for the non lit commas on the display, a black Sharpie makes them disappear nicely.

If you only need one display, a lot of folks have converted to LED and would probably sell you a fully working display.
I might have one around here too.

When you plug and play the pinscore displays right out of the package, do the commas light up or do you have to do something in order to make them work? Because I'd like them to not light up if at all possible.

I was watching this YouTube video on how to repair a score display. Do you think this would work for my situation?

I haven't tried re-soldering the header pins. I also don't know what IC chip I would have to order if i'm looking at replacing the IC chip on the display.

The small black piece to the right is the jumper. Just push on to the two pins circled. No soldering or anything. Just plug in or remove

Pinwiki has all that info. Check the page I linked to above.

Thanks for letting me know about this! I purchased 5 new PinScore displays and if it weren't for you mentioning to remove the small black piece, I would've been wondering how to remove the comma on the credit/match display.
