    Scorbit vs Stern Insider?

Went to the Scorbit site and took a look see and wondered how it compares to Stern Insider.

Any locations that tout the Scorbits or is this more of a home use thing?

Wish someone would do a bit of an expose on a podcast on these in 2022 and do a comparison or contrast of the two techs.

    Just curious what p

I think NeilMcRae has integrated Scorbit & Stern Insider at the collective he is a part of. You might ask him about how it's working out for the events he runs.

I'm just curious. I personally feel Stern Insider needs more of a tournament / social aspect to it.
Some means of talking shit and community feel from a Home user perspective.

"Talking shit" was explicitly listed as a feature of Insider Connected when it was announced so not sure what you are complaining about.

Social interaction = talking shit. Lol... I don't know but Stern Insider seems to be missing something from my perspective from a challenge your peers remotely for home owners. The badge earning just ain't enough to keep me going.

I stopped bothering to login pretty much right away

There are a few scorbits on location around me. Just a few. I like the idea of earning achievements on old games.

Insider connect is such trash. I feel like a fool for wasting my money on it. It gets very little use because Stern has basically added zero features to attract users. It just doesn't even work as a basic level for operators. The automatic code updates don't work consistently, the play counts are wrong, there are no tools to help operators.

I have no issues with Updates..
Just - If you can complete the badges - what next?

Be nice to compete against others..

I have Scorbit on my Dialed In which I bought a couple of months ago and just got a Godzilla Pro with Stern Insider last week so not alot of time on it.

With limited time on Godzilla so far, I still prefer Stern Insider. I find it's better integrated. I get a call out, in game, when achievements are collected with a graphic during bonus (I believe or is it end of game?). With Scorbit, the name of the achievement doesn't always make sense and I don't know I have the achievement unless I look at my phone.

I like the idea of achievements which both accomplish. I like seeing my high score for a given game by accessing the app/website on my phone

I prefer Scorbit app approach over Stern website approach for viewing history, high scores, etc. I also prefer scanning via the phone with Scorbit as opposed to the scanner on the pinball like Stern, but this approach may result in the better integration I mentioned.

Exactly my thoughts with Elvira 40 and Godzilla LE on Insider and GnR on Scorbit. And Insider keeps the orhwr guys at work playing

The problem with this is always going to be the games. If you’re close friends, it works. And if you’re just acquaintances or don’t know each other well, it doesn’t work at all. Through the worst times over the last couple years I competed over FaceTime with a close friend. We would setup our games as close as we could, but we were never going to get them exact. And with close friends, none of it mattered. Heck, some games he was on a Premium while I was playing a Pro.

There is no cure for real competition on two machines in different locations. The loser will always feel like the winner made shots that weren’t the same on their game. Or the tilt bob was looser. Or the rubber on the outlane was…. You get the point.

    Both are useless to me
