Of course - direct contact is ideal. Troubleshooting threads are also helpful for new owners rather than trawling through 1000's of posts or constantly creating new posts about the same issues. Also might help keep the inevitable hysteria in check, though this is Pinside, so hysteria comes with the turf I guess.
Might be useful later when there are a few more out there.
