Quoted from Titokombo:I bet the new machines coming off the line already have this issue fixed.
Quoted from insight75:Its easy for switches to get out of adjustment after making a long trip by truck on our pothole filled roads across this country.
Yes, exactly. That's why I said "if it's the latter, that's to be expected". I fully expect to adjust and tweak a NIB machine. I was just saying, the mystery multiball has been mentioned more than occasionally here. Could totally be a switch adjustment, and I'm cool with that. But may also be hardware or software related.
Wow, so much talk about what pinsiders should and shouldn’t post and where they can post it…and so little talk about Scooby.
Unfortunately this week has been crazy busy for me and I haven’t had a chance to play much since opening it upon Saturday. In the ~20 games we played, we haven’t had any issues. I like the shots, the spinners, and the upper play field. Theme integration is great…code is good already and will continue to get better.
I do understand and respect Aurichs review. I don’t see it quite the same way, but his comments are valid opinions and I definitely see where some of the criticisms are coming from.
‘Who’ can or should post ‘where’…really?!!?!…what grade are we in!?
Quoted from Vecna:Probably for the same reason you are here. I have a pre-order. Thank you very much.
I never would have guessed you have a pre order for Scooby based on your posts. So, my question is, based on your posts, why exactly do you still continue to keep your preorder? You definitely come across as having a troll like vibe, or at the very least a pessimistic view of this game. I've had my concerns as well, and posted them here, but something about the way you phrase things, just comes off as stirring the pot sometimes. Sorry if I'm just totally misunderstanding

I have a few pre orders. Foo, Doo and Pulp.
Maybe I will be a sheep and kiss ass more.

See, that screams troll. I'm not suggesting anyone bail out or follow blindly. Just curious why you're so abrasive?

Well, you're being an ass in this thread now. Maybe you should kiss more sheep?

I don't care anymore. Bye. Welcome to the ignore zone. Maybe try to not be such an ass in the future.

I know I’m going to regret this, and I hate all this in the owners thread…this account was created less than a year ago, it’s very closed…no info about him or collection…he buys a ton of pins. Flipper, troll, unhappy…all the above. It’s been all thrown out there. Frustrating to deal with in an owners thread, but this is pinside. On a positive note, I can’t wait for my Scooby!!!
You see…I don’t even know what’s been posted because I ignored whomever this is MANY MOONS AGO.

Quoted from RebelGuitars:So you're saying you don't think he has a deposit down?
Oh, I think he does…weird to sh!?t on a game you plan to flip, if that’s his game…but I suspect he keeps them NIB and sells them down the road…code is more mature and people are wanting them, but they are sold out. Oh, look…I have a NIB for $18k+.
Quoted from mpdpvdpin:You see…I don’t even know what’s been posted because I ignored whomever this is MANY MOONS AGO.
You made a good call at some point in the past
Quoted from metallik:Then why do you listen to ANY episodes?
Reading all the podcast complaints here, you'd think folks were tied to a chair with a headset duct-taped to their skull. If you don't like what the people are saying, you can just turn it off.
I did turn them off for a long time. Only chimed in because I tried listening to a recent episode last week and it was the same blast Spooky shit.
Quoted from curban:Who’ can or should post ‘where’…really?!!?!…what grade are we in!?
Quick, somebody create another owner thread.
Quoted from Green-Machine:How old are you people!! This is depressing.
I keep checking Pinball Map to see if any local spots have gotten a Scooby in. Nothing yet. I know a local bar advertised that they'll be getting one soon. Man, I really want to play it.
But I'm also tempted to wait until my pre-order shows up to try out for the first time. But I really doubt I'll have that kind of willpower haha
I will have my first play on it at TPF. If anyone is going and wants to meet face to face at the Spooky booth I am all in. Saturday around noon sounds good to me.
Quoted from Vecna:I will have my first play on it at TPF. If anyone is going and wants to meet face to face at the Spooky booth I am all in. Saturday around noon sounds good to me.
Won’t be there, but will definitely vet you. I hope it’s just a weird personality…we will see.
Quoted from Wariodolby:Any public sightings of a Standard Scooby pin?Have any standards shipped?
They don't make the standards until after the CE's are done.
Quoted from SpookyLuke:We are not seeing or hearing a high rate of surprise multiballs at all. I think maybe the game you are playing has a switch out of adjustment somewhere. I'm sure if you sent a video to us we could help diagnose. We certainly have some code bugs but I do not believe what you see describing is one.
I did mention this in a ticket last week that my location game had this happening once in a while on the Scooby Van shot where it will sometimes kick out two balls after hearing a coil fire a few times. I've adjusted the switch a couple times but it still happens albeit rarely. But with the game being played a lot on location it does feel a little too common.
Quoted from jetspeedb:Scooby is all setup and playing quick over here. Shots are tighter than I anticipated.
Do you own an ACNC? That has some tight shots. It shipped with slim post rubbers but after the original far right post rubber wore, I replaced the post rubbers with the standard thickness ones, which I had handy. It made it more difficult but I left those on. I will return to slim at some point.

You have balls my friend. I thought of taking out the post rubbers all together to make the shots easier on ACNC but I know that would not work since there would be too much metal to metal contact. This is much less of an issue with Scooby. The shots are nowhere near as tight.
Quick question... I'm order 500 and something, and just wondering roughly where the orders are right now?
Also, for those who have received their CEs, how are you finding the game?
I have a FF LE and PF LE on order as well, and I'm starting to feel like I might let one thing go.
If you were waiting on these 3 titles, and decided to give up one of them, would it be Scooby?

Personally, I'd downgrade each title to their base model and save myself $10K while still getting 3 NIB's. I'd rather have FF Pro, PF SE, and SD SE than have 2 of the 3 in a higher tier model, but that's just me.

Following the posts in here about games received, we are at approx 100.
I keep an eye on the deliveries to tweak the projection spreadsheet if needed.
#500 should hit roughly early to mid June.
Quoted from RoxasUrSoxas:#111 should be shipping this week!!!!
May need to be making the trip to Southland then. Haha.

Well, posting in the Scooby owners thread is going to give you some biased opinions... this thread is filled with people who want the game, and people who seem to want to hate on it... seems like an odd place to pose your question...
You probably aren't going to see your PF until November at the earliest... so there is no urgency to decide if you just have the cash on hand for two games right now, and plenty of time to try and sell scooby or foo if you get tired of either before you have to pay for pf...
I saw a Scooby CE out in the wild. It was gorgeous. Best looking pin in the room. Second place was Godfather LE which also looks great. I was able to play Godfather but there was a constant line of players on Scooby.
I don't think Godfather will route well after the honeymoon phase due to some SDTM shots. Scooby should be an excellent game to route if the maintenance is manageable. We gotta fix the bonus scoring on the wrong player.
I'm looking forward to my Scooby and hope this thread will be beneficial in helping each other with tweaks and improvements.
I have a Scooby CE on order, but for anyone who is worried about it not being perfect out of the box, this is not my first time at the Rodeo.
I have been waiting 16 months (yes I know) for my Godzilla Premium and I just got and unboxed it 2 days ago.
Here's my experience:
Recent NIB GZ Premium:
Found bits of broken black plastic in bottom of cabinet. Looks like pieces of the rear playfield glass channel.
Sure enough, the center of the installed intact rear playfield glass channel bows downward in the middle, preventing me from simply sliding the glass all the way in.
Ordinarily, I'd simply loosen the screws holing the channel in and move it up a bit.
Can't do that because - no screws. Apparently this is now installed using double-sided tape, so I'll have to pry off the center part and move it up.
At the factory, someone must have mis-installed the first one and broken it getting it off. The second one was "mostly good" and they let it go out like that
Found a sticky greasy spray all over the inside of the cabinet on the right hand side in one area.
Realized it's the lube spray Stern uses on the metal sliding rails.
Someone got a little careless with the spray can and never cleaned it up.
Playfield clearcoat seems very thin - I can see the outlines of the inserts right through the clearcoat and feel them with my finger. Also has noticeable orange peel. Seems a drop in quality that should not happen.
People have posted that Stern stopped using the playfield centering brackets; those are back in now.
Needed the Abe Flips shooter lane fix - balls inconsistently rattling out of the shooter lane
Had balls going into the building lock and getting stuck at the gap between the metal subway and the VUK assy; did the "business card" fix. Seems to be working.
Had balls stuck next to the arm of Mechagodzilla (will do a plastic post/rubber fix)
Had balls stuck in the side of the rotating Mechagodzilla ramp (will do the hex post fix)
If people complain bout sloppy soldering on Spooky games, take a look at the soldering on some of the LED lamp boards in my GZ - blobby solder, not enough solder, drips. Sloppy jobs.
One guy recently unboxed his new GZ, building went up and down one time then went dead - bad Node 10 board, which others have had. Main toy Dead just out of the box.

That is a terrible experience! I am happy I have never had anything like that happen on NIB or Used games. I am very curious - and think it would be very telling - to know how they support you in fixing all these issues. Have you called Customer Service? Were they helpful? Do you expect the parts you need to fix this in the next few days? I ask because I still think the service Spooky provides far outweighs ANY potential issues a new game might have ... But I am a biased Spooky owner

Well, I don't really need any parts to fix what I have to fix, (unless I break the plastic channel trying to straighten it out) but that one guy will need a new node board from Stern.
You have to get stuff through your distributor rather than Stern directly.
A few years ago I could call Stern support and get Chas on the phone and he would sort me out but not any more.

Appreciate you posting this to help keep things in perspective (sorry about the issues) for those of us that are fresh NIB buyers with Scooby. Gotta remember that even the big guys have build issues and from what I gather they are no where near as responsive or helpful as Spooky.
Just yesterday I has to call Morgan to sort out a quick detail...done.
Looks like I'll have my first chance to play Scooby in a few weeks on a business trip that leads me past AYCE GOGI in Van Nuys...can't wait!

I have a GZ Premium from May 22. Building was out of line, and wouldn’t release balls from the roof on GZ Multiball, the standard stuck ball spots, rattle-fest shooter lane and other little issues here and there.
I know this is a Scooby thread but I think it’s a good point you brought up. Pinball isn’t a set-it-forget-it hobby, and people getting into it need to know that they can expect to spend some time under the hood. That said, ideally NIB should be problem free on delivery, and I know that Spooky are working hard towards that goal.
I have zero concerns with #768, and if something pops up I’ll get it sorted. Heck maybe I’m twisted but I actually enjoy working some of these smaller issues out.
Quoted from RussMyers:One guy recently unboxed his new GZ, building went up and down one time then went dead - bad Node 10 board, which others have had. Main toy Dead just out of the box.
Check all your mech fasteners.
My Pro came with over 50% of all the fastener screws broken / sheared off. Someone had their driver set to drill when they built that one.
I was able to play about a dozen games on Scooby Doo last Saturday and I now have one on order. I am a casual player and it has been a long time since I enjoyed a game as much. Now the waiting begins.
2 weeks of ownership tomorrow. Really like the pin and so does the family... plus still no issues, which never hurts.
As I'm average at best, I've been playing different parts of the pin each game; upper playfield (cutler), upper playfield (loops/ramps), loops, spinners, ramps, etc as an attempt to be able to put a full game together down the road. Having fun taking that approach!
Quoted from jetspeedb:Scooby is all setup and playing quick over here. Shots are tighter than I anticipated.
Yeah Mystery Machine shot is a bit tight. I hear “Get to the Mystery Machine” a lot lol. My daughter got Captain Cultler MB and the song was a blast!! Matt did an awesome job!!
Has Spooky released an outline of all the modes/goals/shots? Also, is there a way to pick what mode/villain you start in first?

Sounds like a sound approach. Haha. Will probably be doing much the same myself. Going to steal/borrow your strategy!
