There's two problems with trying to incorporate that style of 'nautical' lantern as a spotlight cover. The first is the height - I'm not sure there's going to be enough clearance on that upper playfield to allow for something that tall. Also being more 'tall' than 'long' it's not a natural fit for a spotlight.
The second issue is that the window revolves around the entire lamp, so you would need to create some kind of opening in the back to allow the spotlight to do it job, which might look a bit strange and ruin the aesthetic.
Both points are valid. Glad you've looked at it as an option though.
