Well, I was going to scare all the guests out of the local hotel so I can find the secret lost pirate treasure, but if they made a Scooby Dooby Dooo pin I would be too busy playing to commit the crime.

    #102 7 years ago

Spooky you seeing this? I would 100% buy a spooky scooby.

    #103 7 years ago

This could be great. I also agree, it would have to be based on seasons 1&2, maybe "season 3" as it is called. No Scrappy, and not the 1hr "movies" with the guest stars.

    #104 7 years ago

So, no Harlem Globetrotters? Thats ok, they have their own pin anyway. I do agree it should be first seasons only and no Scrappy.

    Quoted from gweempose:

Sadly, the call outs just wouldn't be the same without Casey Kasem. Mathew Lillard is good, but it's not the same. Someone better hurry up and make this pin while Frank Welker is still healthy.

Why not use voices from the show?

    scrappy doo sucks

    #107 7 years ago

    No scrappy!

    Scooby doo does not suck

    #108 7 years ago

Frank Welker is alive and still does voice work. Certainly makes sense for Fred character to be lead directional call outs for player info.

    #109 7 years ago

I'd like to see a pin based upon the original first few seasons of Scooby Doo, Where Are you. There were some classic monsters in those and pure, no-Scrappy Scooby.

    Scrappy wizard midnight mode!

    This would be sick!

    Agreed

If you did want to add Scrappy, make him a bash toy with a black eye, etc...

Bump for an awesome theme. Nice to see Mnpinball post as alot of the great pinheads are gone from pinside. Such a shame.

What if you're all wrong, and it's Stern who has the license? mnpinball is always posting Stern hints after all. But what if the rumor neglected a little detail? They got the rights for the live action movie instead of the cartoon.

I would love to see a Scooby Doo pin but not one based on the live action film. And I don't care how hot Velma was in those movies, it's still a no from me lol!

    #118 7 years ago

Agreed, has to be cartoon from 68-71, great family friendly theme in my opinion a homerun.

I agree it should be the cartoon version as shovelhed said, however, I'm only slightly ashamed to admit that I enjoyed the live action versions, just wouldn't want it on a pin

I'm not ashamed to admit it at all, but it's the fantastic artwork from the cartoons that really make Scooby awesome.

I also prefer the original cartoon. I really like the music and sound effects such as fog horns, bats flying, etc. But, I'd consider a live action version too if done well.

I don't particularly care who makes it. Given all the games we know are coming, I guess it would have to be Stern if we want the game finished this decade.

    #122 7 years ago

I'd definitely be in for a Scooby Doo. Was my favorite cartoon growing up. The theme song and art would be perfect for a pin.

    #123 7 years ago

Maybe Stern missed the boat with B66...

    Bumping for dream theme

    #125 7 years ago

So is it true this is Spooky's next title?

I think it has potential and I am interested. If done right it could be a great theme!

    #126 7 years ago

I have heard yes, and I have heard no. Neither of them were from Spooky.

    So we've arrived at perhaps.

Stern has scooby doo license. Its up to them if they want to put in production.

    #128 7 years ago

Bummer about stern. Was really hoping spooky was going to make Scooby.

    #129 7 years ago

First I head of Stern having rights......

    #130 7 years ago

Same. First I have heard ANYONE say Stern has Scooby Doo rights.

I've also heard 3 different companies have Pulp Fiction rights, Elvira rights, and various Disney rights.

I wonder if people just come say things for fun to stir the pot.

    #131 7 years ago

Wow, I'd be down for this. If it's fun and captures the *original* Scooby-Doo vibe (in other words... a little bit spooky! no pun intended) then I'm all over this!

    #132 7 years ago

Not sure but it seems the license has been secured

    Hmmmmmmmm.

Has there been anything new on if any of the companies are planning to make it? I literally will pre order this the day they announce it.

Based on what? Scooby would be bolted down here if they make it and do a decent job. Would be my favorite theme. Who is potentially making it?
