After finishing the Fan Tas Tic and Cabaret project and both running smoothly and without errors, the next project is the Student Prince with some major failures.

The machine is buzzing and living his own live , eating fuses and a coil for dinner a few days ago.

I started to have a good look at the back of the playfield and found some soldering errors on the target switch close to playfield reel and on the top rollover switch were the wire was disconnected.
In the back box at least one soldering from a score reel was disconnected and maybe more. I think it could be 1 of the issues the machine all these bad solderings.
I also found a switch without a wire connected to one of the lugs of the switch and now i did not see and loose wire and i am wondering if this would be correct.

The main problem is the schematics who i cannot find in IPDB. Does somebody has a schematic of the student prince, i need to find out.

Thanks, Hans

If you can't find a free schematic, or you don't want to buy one, you can always go with a similar game with a free schematic that was made around the same time. Some have the same wiring for commonly used components.

I agree with this. You could also visually reference your own Cabaret for things that do not require a schematic or may not be easiest with a schematic.

Thank you for the answers. The photo attached is at the zipper flippers but were can i find this in the cabaret scheme. I did search for other schemes from other machines but did not find it. Maybe à suggestion from à game what can be used.
Thanks, Hans

Hi Hans
Williams only made four pins with "Zipper Flippers" - then Bally made them to stop that feature. The ipdb-search is: http://www.ipdb.org/search.pl?gtype=EM&mfgid=413&specialty=25&sortby=date&searchtype=advanced

I say: To every pin there should be a schema -and a manual - here they have llisted the student Prince: http://www.jukeboxpinballandmore.de/schaltplaene_flipper.php?sid=#S . A paper schema for around 20 Euro (including postage). Greetings Rolf

I searched the "games" section on Pinside and it said 10 Pinside members own a Williams Students Prince. I'm sure one of those owners have a schematic for Student Prince and they could send you a section of the "closing flippers" wiring... Search for the Student Prince machine and it will show you the owners' usernames on Pinside...

Hi All,
Thank you for the answers, i will start looking for other owners of a student prince who maybe can help me with the section in the scheme around the zippers.

Keep you informed on the project

Hans

here are the pictures, sorry for delay.

There's no cable on the right side, or left at your view at that switch. Your left flipper cables seems to be same like mine, but be sure and check them all if you have an issue there.

Ya, there's solder on that switch, maybe a production error. I checked that Zippers some weeks ago because this game is for sale. They work fine.

Hope I could help, hau rein!
Dan

Hello Dan,

Thank you very very much, this is exactly what i needed to know.
I can mark this as solved now and knowing that it is not an error.

The project will be continued.

Thanks,
Hans
