The title says it all....

Mine would be almost any scene with Kelly McGillis in Top Gun. I thought they had horrible chemistry. The "take my breathe away" love scene I could definitely do without.

What about you?

Anytime they show the guys face right before the money shot.

All the ways Lucas befouled the original Star Wars trilogy. And then to spit in my eye, made the originals unobtanium.

I don't like some of the extra scenes in Apocalypse Now Redux. Should've left well enough alone. The surfboard scene was ok though.

Death Wish 2, the rape scenes are too much. I won't watch those parts, but I will watch the bastards get shot and die.

I was going to say this, but you covered it in the first post.

Never seen Death Wish 2, but that reminds me of Straw Dogs. Good movie, but there is a rape scene that left me super uncomfortable.

The rape scene was very disturbing for me too.

George Clooney’s brief “ghostly” return in Gravity.

ALL the prequel scenes : )

Any Steven Seagal scene with him running

Neon Genesis Evangelion, the last 2 episodes.

Not a movie but they ruined my whole live.

That fucking singing muppet performing for Jabba in the "new" revised ROTJ

This fixes all those issues. Unfortunately it is a bit of an epic pain in the ass to get these all downloaded and then converted to what you want (like a 1080p file with surround). But it is totally worth it, this is the only way I watch the original trilogy. Which basically are the only ones worth repeated viewing.

Yes, agree.

One of mine: That whole rave scene in the middle of Matrix Reloaded. WTF.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly....three scenes I never cared for even if it is my second favorite movie of all time. One is where Tuco tries to find the three amigos and he talks about being so poor that they have to eat potatoes. Second is the camp fire scene where Blondie and Angel Eyes are sleeping and his buddies come out of the woods and one gets shot by Blondie. Third is the scene where Angel Eyes rides into a camp and bribes the solder with a bottle of wine to get him talking.... None of these scenes ever did anything for me and just seemed like they should have been left on the cutting room floor. Other then that, LOVE , LOVE, LOVE this movie. Wha wha whaaaaa.....

In the same vein as your chemistry issue:The now old movie Saturday Night Fever both of Travolta’s dance partners are horrible! The more mature one could play his mother almost

Daisy's demise in John Wick.

Joe Pesci's blackjack scene in Casino.

Deliverance. Nuff said

Green Lantern was not a great movie . But - if you ff / skip all the scenes with Hector Hammond ( the whiny guy with the big misshapen head ) it becomes watchable

Love Death Proof but always turn it off and consider it over before Kurt Russell turns into a crying wussy.

Oh god its dreadfull; totally changes the tone of the film.

#22 3 years ago

I saw Apocalypse Now Redux at the theater on the big screen. Those deleted scenes didn't help much. The buffalo scene was bad enough in the original, we don't need more.

#23 3 years ago

I love Guardians of the Galaxy but I hate the opening scene when quills mum dies .

I don't like flashbacks and I really hate dream sequences.

Any specific movie that you love, but hate the dream sequence/flashback?

Banshee is one of my favorite TV shows ever, but it is riddled with flashbacks. Still a great show though. I will admit to liking the dream scene in the Big Lebowski.

The end boat restoration/meeting on the beach scene in Shawshank Redemption. Gratuitous and negates the purpose of the voiceover dialogue as below.

"I find I am so excited I can barely sit still or hold a thought in my head. I think it is the excitement only a free man can feel, a free man at the start of a long journey whose conclusion is uncertain...

I hope I can make it across the border. I hope to see my friend and shake his hand. I hope the Pacific is as blue as it has been in my dreams.

I hope."

Last scene in the movie should have been Morgan Freeman on the bus heading to Mexico with the "I hope" dialogue voiceover and fade to black/credits.

Airplane! when the automatic pilot takes off after the plane landed. At that point I think the movie just went and got silly.

Agreed. That whole movie is just ridiculous! Surely you agree.

No it's not and please don't call me Shirley. Lol.

The last 10-15 minutes of A.I. Right after the point it should've ended and then kept going.

Any scene with the many wigs of Lori Laughlin in Rad.

Can't say the outfits aged very well either.....

Noooooooooooooooooooo!

Side trip for Airplane! fans if you haven't seen it. Great stuff.

#36 3 years ago

I love the movie Pandorum but hate the scenes where the "creatures" are running , the spped up the footage to make them look fast and use some jind of strobe light effect.

#37 3 years ago
Quoted from romulusx:

You know you love it.

That movie is a guilty pleasure. Takes me back to simpler times, when all that mattered was a boy, a girl, and the shared romance of BMX biking.....

Try back-to-backing it with this movie. You'll have to mid-to-late 80s pretty much covered. Pick just about any scene you want to fit into this topic.....but the trailer does a pretty good job of summing it up:

....and to add skiing to the trifecta of coming-of-age 80's movies based around a future x-games sport, the van halen claymation burger scene in Better Off Dead is exceptionally bad.

Wow. That's bad.

#40 3 years ago

For me it's Lois Lane's inner monologue poem in Superman. That whole flying scene is cringeworthy to me in an otherwise great movie.

#41 3 years ago

Spoiler if you have never seen Snatch

Snatch love this movie but never been a fan of when Bullet tooth Tony gets killed over an accident.

#43 3 years ago

Any scene that gets cut when they take an R rated movie and adapt it for TV is usually one of the funniest or best in the movie.

Sorry to go opposite to the thread-topic but that reminded me of one of my favourite scenes in a movie

Pretty much any scene from Good Will Hunting that Ben Affleck appears in...

#46 3 years ago

The long cutscene from Stripes.
That subplot couldn't have been worse even if Harold and Bill were replaced by Charles Nelson Reilly and JarJar Binks! It's best it was left on the cuttingroom floor.

Pulp Fiction- The Bruce Willis shower scene. Also if you watch closely in the frames before the guy jumps out of the room and opens fire on Vince and Pitt (the "miracle" we just witnessed) The bullet holes are already in the wall behind them.

Any scene with Matt Damon's girlfriend character in either Good Will Hunting or Rounders. I don't mind the playground beatdown scene with Affleck in it. The buddy in the back seat of the car doesn't want to fight since they just bought burgers.

#49 3 years ago

I like the Patch Adams movie, but I hate it when the blonde gets murdered.

#50 3 years ago

i just remembered Fight Club. I love the movie but hate the crap about Meatloaf's boobs.
