I've always enjoyed it, but I've always thought the price tag attached to it is just too high for what it is, so I've never had a chance to grab one.

That's the main flaw with the game, unfortunately. And the primary reason why I think the market price for it has been too high. You could get an AFM or MM for around the same price these days, and those are much deeper games.
