Just got my scared stiff and one flipper is bouncing twice when button hit. Also will not stay in the up position when I hold the flipper button in. Wondering if it is the opto board or something else.

Swap flipper button opto boards left and right, see if problem moves to the other side.
Clean optos.
Put a piece of black tape on the opto interrupter to be sure light isn't leaking through the interrupter blade.
Strip naked and go outside and do the "Flipper Dance".
Try these.

The only thing that is going to work tonight is the strip naked part! Im too tired now to try this. I will tomorrow thanks.

I hope my neighbors don't see me doing the flipper dance. It's cold out!
Ok I removed both opto boards and cleaned them and then flipped them. problem did not go to the other side so I am assuming we are looking a coil issue?

If it's cold, chances are they won't see anything.
