My diverter won’t open all the way. There is something going on with the coil stop end of the coil assembly which opens the diverter. Please look at my photo and suggest a solution. I’m guessing I may need to purchase the bracket assembly but I’m not sure what I’m seeing with the springs at the end of the coil by the stop.

The diverter easily opens when I manually open it so the issue is not something binding.

Thanks.

Darin

There is a set screw on the collar the diverter shaft goes through. Could your diverter just need adjusting ?

Looking at your picture again, the spring is broke that attaches the plunger to the collar the diverter shaft goes through.

https://www.pinballlife.com/index.php?p=product&id=4984 just the spring ( you need a roll pin punch to remove the old one from the plunger.

Is there a specific roll pin punch I need? I don't currently have one (and, honestly, wasn't even sure of what one was until a few minutes ago) or is something along these lines fine to buy?

Also, do you have a photo of what it is supposed to look like so I know what I'm supposed to be going for when my parts come in?

Thanks for your help, Lloyd!

Quoted from VolunteerPin:

Those will work.

See the hole on the side of the plunger ? That is where the roll pin is hammered into. See the picture of a roll pin.

Okay. That is helpful. Thanks.

Looking at the photo again...it looks as if I purchase the plunger/spring combo I will not need the roll pin punch. Is that correct?

If so, in your opinion is it a simpler, quicker fix just to put in a new plunger/spring combo or easier to just swap out the spring? The game is on location so the easier the fix the better.

Yes.

That is what I would do. I'd throw a new coil sleeve in there too, as long as you have it apart.
