Just joined the club and I have a problem with upkick onto main ramp.

I'm having trouble with the ball not making on to the ramp.

If I screw all 4 leg levellers in and have the game basically flat the ball will make it to the ramp after 2 or 3 tries. If I have screw out the back levellers even a few turns the ball will not make it the ramp.

The ball is hitting the thin ramp flat and falling back into the hole. The shorter thicker flap is bent away from the thin ramp so it is not putting any pressure on the thin ramp.

I only recently bought this game and it has never worked for me.

Is there anything that can be done to increase the strength of the upkick? or should I be looking at the mechanics of the ramp first?

Thanks Jimbeam and Weaverj,

The coil sleeve was pretty dirty, after I replaced it the ball was making it to the ramp after 3 or 4 tries, so I took a closer look and it was getting all the way up to the bracket that protects the bones and then bouncing back into the scoop.

I tried holding the stiffer flap down with a screw driver and with some pressure form the stiffer flap the thinner flap closes faster and the ball rolls down the ramp instead of back into the scoop. It looks like a previous owner had some trouble with this and decided that bending the flap away was a good idea. Now I will take the ramp apart and fix the flap properly.

I have the brace kit, so I expect I have the slightly longer ramp flap, but it has been bent and I really can't straighten it now, I think I will have to replace it. I have the rivet press and the flap material, I just need the time to take the ramps out to do the job.

Is there a guide anywhere on how to get the bones off the ramp, I'm guessing the bones have to come off or can the ramp be taken out in 2 pieces with the bones still attached?

Quoted from Dr-Tommy:

These pop off pretty easily. Starting from either end of the ramp, you can pull up gently from one edge of the vertebrae, to pop it out of the outer edge of the ramp. Once one side is off, you can rotate it a bit and slide it away easily. Repeat for each one. Good luck with the ramp removal. You will have to loosen the right ramp as well since they are both wrapped so tight around each other....

Thanks Dr-T, that worked well for removing the bones. I didn't want to end up with some broken bones by just going for it.

I managed to get the ramp out without loosening the right ramp. It was tight but it came out.

Its all fixed now with a new ramp flap it works perfectly.

I just installed a set of new plastics and I can't find a location for this one. Can anyone me point in the right direction.

Cheers
Steve

Thanks, much appreciated. I think that now that the game is back together, I'll leave the original in there.
