This is my kind of club!!!

Holla to my Los Angeles SS peeps!

They were shooting The Office on my street yesterday and I guess the cast/crew gets to hear me work on my Spider Multiball while they take a poo. (That's Pinside member Pinbot's 1 ball HS btw)

Tracelifter can tell you the story about how my wife already bought my SS from him as birthday gift without my knowing while he hems and hawws and gives me the cold shoulder because I wanted to buy it for my birthday. "I dunno, Man - I really like this machine." lol #mountainmanMFer

Thanks for the kind words!

SS is the one game of mine that I let myself bling out. So far.

It has a Greg Ong plunger, skull pile, torches, etc. I am going to put lit flipper buttons on it and thinking of chrome side rails since mine are beat up. However, I am also thinking of adding this crazy small TV. I bought this recently - it's not the mod that you see now that just plays slides. This thing plays full audio/video.

I can encode files and put them on there too so I can put together my own programming. I was going to edit together some good trailers and Elvira clips. Not sure how to incorporate the sound, I can mute it. Dang thing can hold hours worth!

LOL Robert, we are on the same page (and in the same city!)

I too had the red filter and then switched to green dots until I could load the ROM. (that thing was not easy to take off!) - and yes, pinbits has new ones for under $20, I think it was $16.

Yes, the SS CDMD is very much worth it! Great conversion. The color choices are fantastic.

The frogs also look really cool in their various forms. Probably one of the best CDMD conversions so far. I think that part of the reason is that one of the main CDMD dudes is a big SS fan and has one in his personal collection.

Are those blades mirror mirror or black mirror? If you catch my meaning?

Your machine looks great! The ambient "black light" looks really cool. Do you think that would light up glow bones?

Quoted from jchybro:

Just posted these pics for another question about red powder coat. haven't seen any ss pics with that color so i thought i'd post them here.

Scarry Christmas to you too!

Here is an animated Christmas short from her last series a couple years ago.

Has anyone here added a shaker motor to their SS? I read somewhere that it could be done. Just curious if it's worth it.

On the note above: I would sell a FG over SS simply because FG is easier to come by with less crazy turnaround price hiking. That being said, I won't sell my SS "ever" because it was a birthday gift from my wife.

Yeah, some kind of black light mod is needed to make glow bones pop.

Elvira has a "Coffin table book" coming out in October. $45, $90 signed.

Here is an article about it with some pics.
