I very much want to be in this club, but alas, I am currently Scared Stiff-less.

Quoted from spfxted:You're IN! I hope Cassandra does an East Coast convention soon...
She's going to be in PA in December:

I still hate all of you guys for have Scared Stiff machines. I'm seriously considering selling my minty HUO POTC in order to try to get Scared Stiff in my collection.
Looks like they got re-listed:

I posted this in the horror game room thread, but I'm so happy about it, I'm gonna post it twice!
I met her yesterday!!!

She signed my Scared Stiff translite:

A met a bunch of other cool people too, so if you care to see any of that, check out the horror game room thread.
I'm in!!!!
Scared Stiff Translite - Elvira.jpg
So far I've added LEDs, boney flippers, boney lane guides, new slingshots, dancing boogie men, light-up skull pile, flickering candles (+ flickering backbox candle), a gory eyeball shooter, a new translite that I got signed by Elvira back in June, and probably a couple other odds and ends that I've forgotten.
I plan to add a color DMD and mirror blades by Halloween.
This game was FILTHY when I got it, but it's cleaning up nicely. So stoked. I've wanted a Scared Stiff for a very long time.
Quoted from yzfguy:What bulb you guys using to make the candle on the backglass flicker? I have a color changer in the tv and the candle, but I would buy a yellow flicker bulb if it exists to fit that socket.
It's part of this kit:
The bulb doesn't fit in the socket. It runs from the flicker board under the playfield and is velcro'd over the existing socket.
Quoted from JulesWallet:Welcome to the club 30FathomDave. Now be prepared for most everyone in town to ask you if it's for sale.
Hahahahaha! I've already had one person hit me up.
I remember the good old days when I was trying to get YOU to sell yours to ME.
My game room has an odd shape that will really only accommodate 5 pins (and 4 vids), but I'm playing a desperate game of arcade/pin Tetris right now to try to squeeze in numero seis.
I noticed that estimated values are now back on the Top 100 page. Most of them seem about right, but Scared Stiff seems waaaaay off.
Estimated value
$2960 - $3440
Ummm...
I just bought mine a couple of months ago, and couldn't find one ANYWHERE for under $4K. I'd say the range is more like $4K-$6K, depending on condition/mods.
What do you stiffs think?

Quoted from BigLebowski:I found the white light under the Center TV insert a little boring and so I replaced the BA15/#89 socket with a T10/#906 socket and put in one of these quad LED flashers in green:
Looks great imho when you reach Scared Stiff....

Got a pic of that badboy in action?
Quoted from stpcore:What are the dimensions?
According to their website, it's 19" x 11.8" x 9.85"
I hooked it up to a fog machine last night, and it's pretty badass.
Quoted from AlexSMendes:Pics or videos?
I'll snap some pics and post them a little later today.
Quoted from AlexSMendes:Cool! Kinda big, huh?
I dig it, but I think it would look cooler if it were a few inches shorter and a few inches wider.
Quoted from neverahighscore:Upgrades are cool!
Man, that looks slick! I definitely need to add a color DMD to my SS this year.
Quoted from BobC:Grab ramps while you can from starship fantasy or whomever is close to you
Other parts...it depends on what you need
Why's that?
*edit* Never mind. Just realized you were responding to the previous post. I thought maybe Starship was closing up shop.
I actually need a new ramp... and I'm seriously considering a full playfield swap on my SS.
In looking at some of those photos of the spider hole eject into the boney beast ramp, I think I'm missing a piece as well. Not the flap - I've got that - but is there a clear plastic that goes above the ramp?
Lots of times on my machine, when the ball pops up through the flap, it spills out the side (between the bones) and onto the playfield, rather than continuing down the ramp to the right flipper.
Is there a plastic that should be there, and if so, does anyone know where I may be able to find one as well as how it mounts? I'm going to explore Marco's website right now.

Can anyone confirm this? I checked Marco, and also consulted the manual, but I couldn't find anything.
Well, crap. I noticed the other day that I'm missing the wire gate for the upper left gate (the one that leads to the deadheads). The ball would go all the way through, bounce off the top right gate, and then come all the way back down the left side of the playfield and back to the left flipper.
I thought I ordered the correct wire off of Marco, but I was wrong.
Does anyone know which one I need?
Is it this one?

Or this one?
http://www.marcospecialties.com/pinball-parts/12-7357
Or something entirely different?
Quoted from littlecammi:That's the one. And it's hard to play the game if it is broken and the ball keeps bouncing back down.
Thanks! Ordered. Do those install easily? That gate is in a really awkward spot. I'm hoping I can get it in there without having to remove the bony beast ramp.
Last night, I installed F-2NIRO’s animated LCD Boney Beast eyes (the one in this thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/scared-stiff-realistic-eyes-for-bony-beast). The eyes move around, and occasionally blink (I've got mine set up to blink from bottom to top). I love it!
Quoted from SteveNZ:that's a supermod. looks fantastic. did you use a gel for the red color?
Thanks! Yeah, there’s a red gel over the display.
Quoted from Dante:Is that done by a setting or orientation/placement? I just got mine and will be installing this weekend. Awesome mod!
I just did it by orientation/placement. I'm not sure if there's a setting.
