Yeah, being very careful to not damage the decal and paint. I generally have one very thin metal blade for the initial work, then I use a slightly thicker one once I've gotten one part of the rail a little loosened.
I would be careful with the rails, too. If nothing else, you could snag a couple of bucks for them if they don't get too scratched up or bent.

Pull old rails off and put new ones on.

The danger here is damaging the artwork on the side of the cabinet while removing the old side rails.

Hah! You got that right! I also bought those mirrorblades (metal) with the art screened on them. I don't know if I'll try that!

I have done a lot of the side rails. The best method I have learned is to use a hair dryer and heat up the rail to where it hurts to touch it. Then use a thin (as thin as possible) metal scraper. Do not use a plastic scraper! Go slow and gently push the scraper through the two sided tape under the rail. You can pull out slightly gently as your moving the scraper through the tape. As for the nail in rear of the trim, Just like the previous post. Heat it, push the sraper under the area with the nail and pull out gently just to raise the head of the nail. I use a small pair of vise grips. You have to turn (CC) the nail as it comes out because it is spiraled (twisted) Good Luck

Also when you put your new rails on there's no need to put that tape on the whole length of the rail .
Side rails vary in difficulty to remove. I have had a few that were a real PITA! The tape was really stubborn and I needed a lot of heat to get the job done. Some games like MB, CC and CP have really fragile decals and the decal will try and come off with the side rail. Those game you sometimes have to take a razor knife and cut the decal along the very bottom of the side rail so the rail will come off (with the portion of the decal that the rail is stuck to) and not disturb the cabinet decal. Once the new rail is on, it looks perfect. Some side rails almost just fall off with a little heat. 
Interesting. Granted, I've only done a few, but I've never run across any that were taped. In light of that, I withdraw my previous comments about heat.

Ok, so all Scared Stiffs have tape under the rails?
All W/B side rails use a commercial equivalent of two sided tape. It is gray instead of white. When you reinstall them you use two sided tape. The gray stuff is not nice to remove and you hope that most of it sticks to the side rail and not the cabinet. I use alcohol to remove the old stuff. Anything stronger can damage the cabinet plus you don't want to breath that stuff.

Pull old rails off after removing nails. Put new ones on and put nails back...or screws, etc. Got it!
Fairly straight forward just take your time. There is one screw and nut at the front of rail near the lock bar to remove both sides. if your not set on keeping and reusing the old rails you can simply and Slowly pull them up and at an angle. Note that it is best to do one side at a time and you Really should lower the backbox mount arm so you can access the full length. Just remove the 2 screws holding it to the back box and let it hang. Heat can help to slightly soften the old tape as some can be a Bear! Just be careful not to overheat the decals! Pull upward and out only so as not to tear the cabinet art. Use a sharp straight blade razor to remove excess black adhesive tape so the new rails mount flush. Finally, I strongly recommend the 3M moulding tape (link below). Pretty much the same as the original used. Don't use cheap foam tape! Good luck and take your time!

It is pretty strong but I have removed rails with this tape before. I prefer this tape because it is fairly slim in profile and also rigid similar to what the factory used to keep the rails straight and not spongy up against the cabinet. Hopefully your not going to keep removing them often if thats the case don't use any tape.

How many people would be interested in purchasing a new replacement crate door? Kerry from Mantis Amusements is considering doing a run of them if he can get enough interest.

Thanks, I think it will be shine, it was horrible and full of dust, a very nice vacuum cleaning first to avoid scratches when buffing, waiting the DMD from a fellow member here, comes from Russia and it's taking ages to get here. Want to do some mods, boney beast led, skull heads and dancing bogie man.
I really like this pin, and didn't break the bank, just $350 on parts
