Got ya! Does anyone know the difference between the Marcos ones and the German ones?
Quoted from spfxted:Got ya! Does anyone know the difference between the Marcos ones and the German ones?
Can you send me the link for the German ones. Need a pair also.
Quoted from whthrs166:Do you any of guys know if Stern is going to do Elvira III this year?
So far the word is, possibly this year or next. Not sure if DeepThroat has anything to do with it....
Just wonder if any of you guys have any Monsters in Monster’s Lab? I did this little mod with a couple of extra pop tops on the jets. I took a wood dowle and screwed it the tops so boogiemen would fit on the dowles that way the jump when hit the jets. It works really nice and dont need any glue to hold them on.

When it comes to modding SS,there are no limits, huh?
Quoted from AlexSMendes:When it comes to modding SS,there are no limits, huh?
There are always limits. So are you saying I stepped over the line? Every mod I did can be easily removed. Mods are personal touches that appeal to some and not others. Purists spit on modding and I am ok with that. My line in the sand is: The mods have to able to be easily removed if needed.

Dude, no! Wow, please, chill.... I even posted a pic of my also fully modded machine!!!

No worries! Mods can be a toxic discussion with some people. The lockbar and legs I airbrushed on. I just like to pass on any mod info so others can do it. Especially if it is low cost easy to do stuff that's tasteful.
Quoted from weaverj:you want to see people get butthurt, start talking about LED's.
What do you guys think about that stadium lighting? I just picked up a Champion Pub that has it and it's stunning. It might not be what I would choose for SS though. I kind of like it on the Dark Side. I used Pinball Bulbs and Coin Taker for this game. I put one of those spinner (Coin Taker) LEDs in the TV. Looks pretty cool
Hey members, other than checking boards, spider hole/crate, ramps, any other tips I should look for hunting one down?
How are reimports in good condition viewed on this title v others?
Appreciate any bit of direction or input! Thx!
Quoted from whthrs166:What do you guys think about that stadium lighting?
I have it on 1 game and 1 game only. RZLE. Because it's dark, very dark without it. It works great but I wouldn't put it on any of my other games including SS. I know you can dial in the color and brightness but I don't think it's needed especially on LED games.

I have that 3 Gory Eyeball Interactive Mod on mine as well. Love it!!

Doesn't matter as long as It's in good condition.
Make sure everything works. Crate Multiball, Stiff In The Coffin, etc.
Quoted from spfxted:Thanks! Are they superior to the German ones? They are $42.
Yes. the ones at Marco are from Planetary / officially done. I bought 2 sets and can tell you they are 100% like the originals. the German copies are cheap knock offs and are not like the originals...just look at the posted picture and your slings , they lack the boney outlines
Can I swap out my globe posts/pedestals merely with the 2 mini bolts that sandwich them together, or do I need to remove my plastics and unscrew them from the bottom?
Thanks Bob. Damn, too late as I was told Marco got them from the German company and I bought them. Oh well....
I need a new shooter rod tip. Anyone know where I can get one in red? (I've only found black or white)
Thanks...
Titan would be a good source. They have lots of color options and I believe their 10% discount is available all of the time by entering: TITAN10 at checkout.
I recently re-rubbered my SS. Went with mostly red rings, sleeves, shooter tip....some blue in the lab area. And I put Titan "glow" on flippers and on slingshots. I like how it looks.
I have a kit I made there.

Highly recommended
First image of the machine used on their site is random, but I included photos at the bottom of the page.
Used those rings for 1000s of games and love them. Colors are great and excellent quality.

I just looked at Marco and they look to be the same as the ones I purchased from Planetary Pinball Supply, not the German ones
If you REALLY want to be sure, buy direct from Planetary

Hi Bob. Ok, just got the German plastics. They are not bad and look better than the pictures they posted. They are not smooth and have grooves. Here are pix. (not as good as originals...but not too bad)
Can you send pix of yours?
Quoted from whthrs166:These are are pair I bought from someone on Ebay (can’t remember who)
I think I paid $100 for the pair.
$100 bucks for boogeymen?
Say it ain’t so!
Hey SS members - I need some help. My original slingshot plastics are repaired and I can't find a suitable replacement. Here is the problem: The originals allow for the dancing boogie man mod while the replacements are narrower between the feet. If I Dremel out the replacement to accommodate they look a little funny. I've have tried two different aftermarket SS slingshots plastics and didn't like or use them for that reason. Who sells a good set that will work with this mod? Thanks in advance.
I took my originals off so wouldn't break them. I used the ones I bought on Ebay (Apparently the Marco ones) they work fine with the dancing boogiemen option.
Thanks whthrs166 - I'll give it a try. I hope the 3rd time is the charm. I hate wasting funds on subpar replacements.

Man no kidding!
Last night, I installed F-2NIRO’s animated LCD Boney Beast eyes (the one in this thread: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/scared-stiff-realistic-eyes-for-bony-beast). The eyes move around, and occasionally blink (I've got mine set up to blink from bottom to top). I love it!
Quoted from SteveNZ:that's a supermod. looks fantastic. did you use a gel for the red color?
Thanks! Yeah, there’s a red gel over the display.
Quoted from sunnRAT:I'm in!
Nice...your in for heaps of fun. Just wait until you give her multiple jackpots she is a naughty girl
Hi all, just like @30fathomdave, I got my new eyes installed too.
They come stock in a yellow color that looks great, and you can also order a little bit of red film to put in front of the screens.
Some more details here:

Thanks again @f-2niro.
PS : Warm welcome to @ajnada !

I had to file my originals a little to work with the dancing mod. Planetary Pinball has the rights and makes replacements. I would guess theirs are as close to OEM as you are going to get
65 and still looks good.

Is that done by a setting or orientation/placement? I just got mine and will be installing this weekend. Awesome mod!

I just did it by orientation/placement. I'm not sure if there's a setting.
