yep, 3 balls, easy outlanes, extra ball for replay. that's the way to do it, i think. i've gotten scared stiff twice since may. don't play it a ton though.

Ah ok, I always reset every pin I get to factory settings, and enabling free play is the only setting I change. Makes me feel a little better I suppose
I can say, with a bit of pride, that I managed two Monster Multiballs in a single night a few months back. It was epic.
Of course, this was after more than a month of a dry spell, so there is that.

Hmm.... In a 5-ball game, it's not unusual for me to achieve 2 Monster multiballs on a single game...
Yes, my outlanes are tight and my settings are factory, except for an Extra-ball for replay AND 1 buy-in option (why not? It's free-play anyway!).
Oh my record score is past 69 million!

Three ball, stock rules. I've never played a 5 ball version.
It's still the most pain of any game, draining at the top of a stiff o meter.

That's for sure!
Quoted from arcademojo:What do the “cast a spell” stand up targets on the left do when you complete them?
Quoted from Coyote:I think (and I'm likely wrong) that it lights the left outlane 'kickback'.
They light the kickback, but on the normal setting you have to complete them twice for it to save the ball.
Test link. Not sure if this will work.

Thanks. I did a live video to Facebook but it won’t let me save it. Anyway it was of my buddy beating the Stiff-O-meter.

Yeah but not on our pages.
Quoted from spfxted:Looking forward to Laseriffic Interactive Topper for Scared Stiff~!
Any Info on this somewhere?
Quoted from AlexSMendes:Does anyone have problems with rusty/oxided balls when they get too much time standing under-the-playfield ball through? I just acquired this piece of plastic that fits right to any B/W game.
Are you following me pinrob? You never posted on this thread!!! Guess you're a bit jeaulos, huh? Well, mine was way cheaper!

Is this good for Scared Stiff? There are no magnets....or does it matter?
Tech question: very frequently now balls hit to the left ramp end up dropping into the spider hole. It looks like there is one flap on the ramp at the start of the hole and another flap this is dangling down. I don't know the normal configuration but it seems as if the dangling flap should somehow be in an "up" position to help the ball bridge the gap and make it to the right flipper. The ball always used to end up at the right flipper before so I'm not sure what changed. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks,
Darin
pop it back up on top of the ramp. if there's not much lip for it to sit up there, you may need to bend the bracket for it forward a bit.

Fixed. Thanks.
Quoted from arcademojo:Was having problems with my right ramp. About 40% of the time the ball would fly off the ramp. Tried going with a 7.9 degree pitch on the playfield but still did it but less often. Ball would shoot out of the ramp and get stuck between the skull pile and side. Couldn’t figure out how to stop it so made my own little mod. It doesn’t look great but it works. No more rocket launcher balls.
I had the same problem, improved 99% just by increasing flipper spring tension. Happy New Year!
Hi guys,
my pinball tech was at my house and accidentally left his coin door interlock cover (yellow metal thing) in my machine - it was lost between then and his return
he said they came with every scared stiff - anyone have one to sell, or at least a picture of one with dimensions so i can have one reproduced for him?
i feel bad and am willing to pay for one for sure.
let me know
thanks!
Added over 6 years ago: to clarify this is a metal piece about 2 inches square with various ledges that allows it to hold in coin door interlock switches - so that you can have high power working with the coin door open for testing purposes
Just noticed that the pretty rare Stepper Motor PCB (D-12046) is now available at Pinball Life. With or without stepper motor/harness.

Guys, I need some help here, please.... Does anyone know the name or the part-number of that rubber piece for the boogeyman slingshot, and if possible, where can I find it? I'd really appreciate!

Awesome! Thank you very much!!!
Joined the club this past weekend. Installed mirror blades and they look really nice. Now I need to get the backboard decal to fill in the empty space. I want the blue lightning decal. Does anyone know the best place to order this one from? Thanks in advance.

Treasure Cove has them.

Quoted from spfxted:How are these applied? Do you have to remove everything from the back?
Good question. Hopefully someone with experience in applying backboard decals will chime in.

Yes you need to remove the backboard to apply the whole decal evenly in one shot. Then cut the slots to receive the ramp flanges and the 2 lit globes. Dont forget to apply the 2 flames that sit under the pile of skulls to make the candles look better.

Whoa! That's way above my pay grade!
Serious! I just got used to changing bulbs! AND, I can take the glass off and raise the playfield by myself!
Quoted from spfxted:Whoa! That's way above my pay grade!
Lol you can handle it Ted, I think the board was just held on with 2 screws on each bracket. You also have to disconnect the harness in the back to remove it from the game.

That's cool. I remember when you wouldn't even consider swapping out a lamp.
