They were custom painted by the restorer...

I dig it, but I think it would look cooler if it were a few inches shorter and a few inches wider.

Agree!

Added an RBG strip to boney beast. Can change to15 or so different colours. Also dim up or down. Pics look a bit washed out but you get the idea. I used black zip ties instead of white so it looks like it is part of the spine.

Elvira has a "Coffin table book" coming out in October. $45, $90 signed.

Here is an article about it with some pics.

Been looking for a $5k scared stiff for a little while now. Saw one listed on here two months ago in Harrisburg and jumped right on it but the listing got closed down because supposedly multiple people were getting the run around and it was a scam. Players condition is fine with me. Not really able to afford all the heavily modded ones for sale in the marketplace right now. If you know anyone selling point me in the direction! Thank you!

I'm in the same boat. I saw a side by side comparison of LCD vs LED at Expo and the LED seemed much more vivid and authentic to me. That said is SS supported for LED yet?

#2117 7 years ago

Have the LCD version in mine using DotXL mode and it looks great!

Well, placed the order today for the LED dmd! Now let's wait a month or two to arrive (damn customs)

Can somebody let me know what kind of screw to get?

My SS was missing some coffin parts.
I just got the cover and the metal plate, but it seems there should be a screw securing the coffin lid to the plate

That screw is not in the manual
Looks like what ever it is, the head needs to be short so as to not scratch the decal of the body below?

Thanks! - BobC

It would go into the plastic, and thus there are no treads to judge it by
Can somebody post a picture of their screw?

Installed the LED DMD on my SS... Super easy to install, I did it in a few minutes!

As most people are reporting, yes, it is super f*** bright!!! Now I got to find out how to tune it according to my taste... does anyone know where do I get some instructions to do it? Please, advise!

Also noticed that some transitions are not ok, especially when not at game-play, when I could pay more attention... sometimes a colored animation begins in white, and it takes a few time (less than a second), to turn into the proper color!

Anyway, this is my first colordmd and I'm happy with it.... Waiting for the updates on the rom to correct these minor transitions faults!

PS: The colordmd staff colored the eyeballs blue, while I got all my BG and PF eyes as green (also my custom shooter rod).... Now off to change some lamps... (at least the lighting changes are easier)!

#2124 7 years ago

Probably a longshot but if anyone is looking to possibly get rid of their ss let me know.... i also have some pins i cld trade towards one. Thanks

Perhaps this has already been answered in this thread, but how many Spider Awards must you win to pass TEX, the default leader?

The art on the SS cab is it decals or direct printed ?

I have SS coming and so can't wait

It's direct print, pre-decals.

Arg...my friend sent a picture and it looks like a proprietary rivet-like screw : (
Another friend thinks he can make something for me though

Meanwhile, one of my globe stands fell apart because the super small bolt nuts fell out. Don't know the size/threading. Don't know who might have them (marco doesn't)
This is sucking LOL

Ok I'll bite, How much did you put out for it??

#2146 7 years ago

Damn it looks real nice. I'm jealous. Been looking for one just not really comfortable spending the kind of money these go for on a pinball machine at the moment especially without playing it first if I have to get it shipped which I almost did a few weeks ago. It was really hard to pass up when you find one for the lowest they pretty much go for these days but i had to. One day it'll happen.

I put in alot of work finding the right deal .... i know of others that i didnt purchase. If interested i can give u the leads. Its definitely worth the price of admission and why its hard to find and going up in price... its up there with mb, tz, afm imo....
