Scared Stiff machine all of a sudden the auto plunger is firing for no reason. Checked the switch and all appears good there! Just looking for direction as to what can cause this and a fix. The plunger just continuously fires. I had all 4 balls out of the game and it still fired.

Damn it's like you guys were waiting for me to post

Quoted from LTG:

Tests - Switch Edge - does it work when you push it ? Is it stuck down ?
Have you worked on the game recently and this popped up ? If so start there. If not, look at switches balls could hit for shorted wiring type stuff. Bent lugs, etc.
LTG : )

Switch works and test ok! All switches are working with the exception of the Right Inner lane switch. I disconnected it as I need to get one to replace it!

Quoted from PinMonk:

Ball trough switches/optos all working right? If it thinks the ball trough is full, it probably will keep kicking balls out.

Appears so. When I put the game in test mode and block the path of each of the 4 optos they all register.

Quoted from TimO:

I'm trying to remember if that game autofires when it locks a ball. If so, it might be a stuck switch in the crate.

I will recheck the crate switch!

Thanks for the input guys!

Quoted from PinMonk:

Go into switch test mode and take a nice (sideways phone) close up picture of the switch matrix on screen and post that.

Quoted from LTG:

And it's on the same column as the shooter lane switch. Did the problem start when you disconnected it ? If so, what did you do with the wires ?
LTG : )

Problem started before I disconnected it! I just pulled the one wire with the connector on it. The other is still soldered on. I just disconnected the one to see if it would make a difference.

Quoted from PinMonk:

Looks like column 4 is out. Check everything with the green/yellow wire listed in that column and see if anything is shorted against something.
Were there any balls in the trough when you took that? Only trough eject is triggered, but the rest aren't, like the trough is empty with a jammed ball.

Yeah the balls were in. Column 3 #32-35would be lit if the balls were t in!

Appreciate the assistance, I will start checking all switches 1x1

Quoted from DumbAss:

They are optos. The reading is reversed. If the beam is interrupted the switch is "open". Otherwise if the beam is not interrupted the switch is "closed". The above looks correct to me. Four balls in the trough and all the optos are NOT interrupted.
I think switch #57 is an eddy sensor. I think it should be open.
I think switch #64 should be open. It is registering as closed.

Thanks dumbass (sorry couldn’t resist)!!
The eddy sensor has been adjusted so it’s cared for now. As well as #64.

Yeah mine is the same as yours but as soon as I start a game the auto-plunger starts firing off.

And problem solved.....I had the connectors wrong. Had the auto-plunger going to the coil for the ball through and vice-versa.

Thanks for the post everyone!!!!
