Quoted from Dr-Willy:in which he replies asking for my phone number to call me
How can he call you if he is deaf?
Be careful, guys.
Also, OP, I just saw this happening on Pinside. Might be too far, but at least it's from one of us.

Quoted from Mhulsebu:Ha ha...our scammer was almost EXACTLY this, but several different names.
I worked in a customer service department for 10+ years and there are relay services for deaf people...basically, the deaf person types on their computer what they want to say, an operator reads it to you, and then types your response back to the caller. Doesn't happen much with email being so prevalent, but it still happened a couple times a year for me. What's awesome is that the operators HAVE to read everything that is typed so if a person is upset, they have to read all the profanity to you (in a totally flat voice). It is hilarious (but you can't laugh because she has to type that back to the deaf person).
I know that there are ways for the deaf to communicate with the hearing on the phone, but in this scenario, the OP states that the seller claims he can't talk to him on the phone because he is deaf.
Quoted from Hjbondar:Seller: I am deaf - you can talk to my warehouse manager and he can relay what you say to me or I can teletext from home
Just seems a little sketchy IMO. To clarify, no disrespect towards the hearing impaired was intended. This particular correspondence that the OP is having with the seller leaves cause for concern.
*Now that I re-read "teletext from home" (I read that in my mind - "text you from my house away from work")
I see now that the teletext is the communication via telephone. Could be legit I guess.
Quoted from jesster64:I would make out a police report.
Could not agree more here. Especially after Pinsider #2 is getting involved. Why even bother with this scammer? "There is no spoon."
