I just went through mine. Everything matches until I get to L47. L46, 45, 44,43,42,41 are all off. I would think this is a software problem. My machine has original untouched boards.

#12 9 years ago

Bad terminology ,they are not all off but what is displayed on the DMD does not match what is lit on the back box.

I'm running v 1.8. I can record a video of mine doing this.

My backbox lamps work perfectly when it goes into the boardgame mode. You would think if the chip was damaged then you would have lamps lit in the wrong sequence when attempting to get into the vault. It is like the programmer missed the description of the insert.

So when you are in the board game mode and you roll the dice for your moves, do the lamps sequence in the correct order towards the vault ? If you land on , say a bribe lamp, does the machine perform the correct action ( guard asks for money ?)

Here is the information from my manual. The schematic print is very small so I have taken numerous pictures close up so you can read the values.

Now like I had said in one of my earlier posts that my back box lamps are all correct except for L42 through L48. If you look at the 4094, it looks like each IC controls 8 lamps in the board. I bet I have one damaged IC as well.

The 4094 IC's that are on the back board are a CMOS Chip. These are easily damaged from static electricity. I'm wondering if these IC's get damaged from wiping down the plastic coin tubes with a cloth and the static generated getting transferred to the chips. The plastic coin tubes are very close to this board. I'm going to order some 4094's and will change out the one I think that is punched.
