    Quoted from Linolium:

Kiss Pro: There are 2 balls stuck in Gene's mouth. I need to take the popper assembly off the bottom to get them out. 2nd time it's happened
Swords of Fury: Rule quality pales in comparison to the music quality

Try using a magnet on a stick tool. It works for me when getting a couple pinballs stuck in that same spot in Genes head.

All pins suck. they keep breaking, and you have to spend more time and money to fix it. Dammit, and then juuuust after you slid on the glass and fixed the lockbar you spot a lamp being out. Argh.

Don't get me started on unfair drains.

Use a telescopic magnetic wand or the flexible version in the VUK "mouth". No playfield lifting or parts are required to be disassembled.

EDIT: I just caught another posted the same simple tech trick.

It does not unfortunately fix game design flaws on this assembly.

hardbody - hate how the ball goes STDM after hitting the blue targets wrong

The shadow - hate that i didn't get one of these games sooner!

Apollo 13 - 13 balls are cool but damn... too many!

Rescue 911 - I can't tell what the 911 callers are saying. Voices too garbled.

High Roller Casino - the ball flips out of the top of the roulette wheel too often.

Double up bingo - WOW, so many possibilities! Too many maybe?

Flight 2000 - nothing negative to say!

    #206 8 years ago

this is a great thread. This is where the people that say they Love everything, really don't think about stuff. Even games you love, you have to know where the weaknesses lay. Every game has them. Some games have a longer list than others.

Shadow- Sanctum lock is poorly designed and rips ass on your playfield. Diverters are clunky and ramps are not smooth shots.
LOTR- cookie cutter fan pattern. Unoriginal layout. artwork is dithered and blurry in spots
AC/DC- art package isn't the best. Another cookie cutter fan pattern....(yawn)
TF- Great looking game, another cookie cuter fan pattern (glad stern if finally realizing they have done this playfield to death). Modes seem repetitive.
RFM- Fawking fan pattern layout again. Pinball designers can shove this fan layout up their ass. Done 100's of times. Throw at least a little change in there. Modes are a little 2D.
PM- right ramp is steep and not a super clean shot. Makes it extremely tight to shoot. No diversity in starting tricks
Tommy- Video mode blows ass. Upper right ramp could have been designed smoother
    Atlantis- more cleavage
Spooky- rules are unfinished. Things on the playfield do things that other things already do. Could have had so much more happen.
Torpedo alley- All the ships should have been drop targets instead of standups. multiball is a little too easy to start
Swords of fury- Don't speak negatively about lionman....he kill you
Zankor- Fawking unbelievably hard skill shot. out of the 100 games i've played, i've done it 3 times.
Robot- Could have had the robot tunnel do something different. Little bit to much space above both inlanes/outlanes
Time machine- Ramp entrance is a piss poor design
Locomotion- ramp shot could have been a hair smoother on entrance
Obitor 1- could have had a little more to the rules.
Super Soccer- could have added a drop bank
Joker poker - girls should have been naked on the backglass
Alien poker- aliens are ugly as shit
    GNR- No rocket queen song.
Baywatch- change the theme to something else, different artwork all around
Miss world- lose the jane fonda workout art at the bottom of the playfield
Magic Castle - have 3rd monster do more
Farfalla- lose the couple holding hands in the middle of the playfield
    Soccer Kings- theme blows.
baby pacman- wish the playfield was full size , and wish the red ghost wasn't such a fawking cheater

    #207 8 years ago

CV - Cannon ball sometimes gets stuck in the backbox, Juggler doesn't always hold the ball and the multiball drop could have been done better. Still one hell of a game and colourDMD will take it to another level.
SS - never ever completed the spider wheel mode
MM - Love it, nothing bad can be said
STLE - looks great, fun game, could be a bit more challenging. Still, looks great!
TDLE - SDTM shots drive me nuts
IJ - mode hole is brutal.
FT - Love it but my cc playfield is making erratic ball jumps. Might need a CPR repro
ACDC Pre - Hell mode is really lame. Looks great but really???
CP - boxer is a bitch to remove and fix wires. SteveO is a riot though.

I'm thinking this one could have used a little more cleavage

I have too many machines to rage on, and to be honest I try and look past their faults... For most of them.

Before I start, I really like this thread. I like it way too much. It's awesome. It's different.

So... Millionaire. I could go on for hours about how much I hate this game. I don't even know WHY! But I do. Hold on...

    image_(resized).jpegimage_(resized).jpeg

    image_(resized).jpegimage_(resized).jpeg

    image_(resized).jpegimage_(resized).jpeg

Yeeeshhhhhhh. I don't know what it is. That blue makes my brain go on a bloody rage. The yellow and the blue clash to a point where my brain explodes. They ain't no complementary colours. And no he yellow doesn't "pop out" because of the blue.

The sounds. The lady and she's like "get me rubies, I want rubies" GET YOUR OWN RUBIES. LIKE IT IS SOOOOO ANNOYING.

The playfield colours clash too and it hurts my brain to look at it. I honestly think that it's terrible and I don't know why but it's ewwww. I know I'm not a "true artist" but the machine should APPEAL TO YOUR EYES.

Other than the few cool shots (the skill shot and if I'm correct there's a lock ramp which is in an unorthodox position, I can't remember I don't play it) there's like nothing. THERES NOTHING.

Like the game has cool features, but it looks and sounds horrible and I really dislike it. This is one game I actually DO NOT LIKE. I mean if I was standing in front of it it would be easier for me to go over it but I haven't seen or played it for a while now.

Again, I love this tread it's fantastic

    #211 8 years ago

    Cool topic.

TFTC-tough to say. Fun game people really like. I cant get the DE pops dialed in just right...
LW3-see above and ball pops out of the 3 hole a lot.
Twister-during multiball when you hit the underground the ball is shot right up then down the lane lands on the spinning plate and STDM. Every time.
T2-game is just a little dull...
DH-just a BITCH to make the right ramp. ive rebuilt flippers adjusted etc...
    JD-uh...the upper flipper seems weak...
STTNG-the outlanes. they kiss what could be a good game. also the fact that every time the cannon shoots a ball you lose the ball.
    JP-honestly haven't played it much
    DM-extra ball/multiball hole is a bitch
Bally KISS-seems dull now. wish they had diamond plate on the pf
Stern KISS-the STDM Gene head. The impossible right ramp. the STTNG type right outlane.

As a group the have overwhelmed floor space in my home and storage space. As individuals its hard to decide which to sell . Shane

    #213 8 years ago

Hit The Deck - Why you broken? Cannot go over 1k points at the moment.
Centaur II - Why you Centaur II and not Centaur I?
Comet - Why you so easy? I've gone over 10 million and feel I've destroyed the challenge.
Independence Day - Why you so obsessed with the fat lady?
Twister - Why you have shit magnet board? Also why you too tall for my basement?
F-14 - Why you so ruthless?

Space Station - Why you so unattainable?

    #214 8 years ago
    Quoted from bepositive:

Alternatively, drop them, fold them up, and put them in storage. Rotate your games once in a while. If the examples are really nice, you will kick yourself in the head later, trying to get another back.

    #215 8 years ago

BBH - Extremely short ball times, non memory of progress towards Mega Buck on Buck Multiball. Takes forever to get to Open Season, 4th Bird Multiball being the normal stopping point.

WPT - KI just way to hard to progress to, needing 25mil off each multiball - -wtf!

MET Prem - I promised I really have tried, but I can't think of ANYTHING I don't like about it. The closest I come can up with is sometimes when hitting the piston target the ball comes back and bounces straight down the left outlane, but hardly a major issue.

Saying all of that WPT & MET are going nowhere in the foreseeable future.

    They don't exist.

    #218 8 years ago

Demo man - plays fast, but the artwork is cheesy and I'm just not very good at it.

Space Station - wish it had an auto save

World Cup Soccer - absolutely love this game. Has some wear that I am covering with some cliffy's but that's it.

Tommy - hard to say because I just bought it, but right now I would say it's the mirror

    #219 8 years ago

    Laser War - Laser War

I understand in 87-88 I was pegging my jeans, had sh!t hair, a sh!tty monobrow w/matching stache, and only owned Warrant or Twisted Sister tshirts.... But C'mon, couldn't think of a *slightly less sh!tty title/theme? The Running Man maybe???

    Fun sh!tty lookin pin!

Spider-Man: Super duper small thing and really all I can think of. No way to see how many balls you have locked. How about some indicator lights or at least some instant info?

X-Men: So many small things, but none really stand out a lot more than any of the others. Ex: Some crap callouts, some bad mode rules, Wolvie's default placement on the LE, ect...

    #221 8 years ago

Pimp77 thumbs-downs me? Think I hit a nerve Someone tell him to be less sensitive.

    #222 8 years ago

No Fear: Can sometimes get post-ey.

Getaway: Music burns into your brain and won't leave.

Doctor Who: I don't mind the brisk pace, or a dalek or two, it's the obstacles that I hate.

Theatre of Magic: The left magnet is notoriously weak in all machines, which is annoying for those with OCD.

    Black Knight: Too floaty.

Taxi: It's weird that the locked ball remains on the playfield as a dead spot, and subsequent shots can bounce off it.

Mousin' Around: Too cool for school.

Jungle Lord: The whiny buzzer sound that signals the end of multiball is like fingernails on a chalkboard.

World Cup Soccer: Magnasave is useless.

    2 weeks later
    #223 7 years ago

Solar Ride: I prefer scoring points while playing, not as a bonus after the ball drains.

Xenon: I really don't understand the theme.

    Pin*Bot: Outlanes are brutal.

Hardbody: Wish I had room for two of these beauties.

Jurassic Park: Hasn't worked correctly since I bought it a few years ago. That should finally change this weekend.

    #224 7 years ago

I'm getting too many center drains on Doctor Who.

Just came across this thread. Really enjoyed it. Since it has been 3 years I would like to bump it and see how people feel about the games they own now.

    Jurassic park

Sometimes the raptor kickback frustrates the hell out of me sdtm

    #227 4 years ago

    NASCAR:
    No playfield multiplier
No real way to increase jackpot values.
Default setting for max extra balls is way too high.
When freshly waxed, the scanner scoop will kick out to the right flipper and bounce straight back in.
Super party isn't much of a wizard mode. Seems like it was an afterthought using recycled assets. There's no Alan Bestwick, just a bunch of WOOHOO WOOHOO!

    #228 4 years ago

Tri-Zone - Sound effects, all 4 of them, can get a little tiresome.
Space Station - No skill shot, have to max plunge to get up wireform ramp.
Theatre of Magic - Damn trunk used to split (finally bought the good, rubbery one).
DE Star Wars - artwork looks like a 5 year old did it.
    Monster Bash - It's heavy.
BS Dracula - sound effects on the pops.
Old Chicago - Not 2 player.
Alladins Castle - Not 4 player.
    KISS - sound effects lacking....
Sorcerer - multiball lasts about 15 seconds. Could just be my skill level....
Medusa - backglass scares the wife.
T2 - ball pops out of top loop saucer into the pop bumpers without scoring A LOT.
TZ - Top of playfield is dark around the gumball machine. Yes, i have the kit. Not the point of the thread...
TSPP - not crazy about the theme. Wife won't let me sell it.
ToTAN - Killer game is about 2 million.
CFTBL - Get dizzy watching the ball go around that little whirlpool.
Scared Stiff - Get horny when she says "He always wanted a little head"....
Strikes and Spares - Get horny looking at the backglass.
Metallica LE - not enough songs.
Evel Knievel - He kinda has an Elvis snarl going on the backglass. Confuses me.
Night Rider - makes me wish it was 1977 again.
Indiana Jones - just not all that into it.

    #229 4 years ago

SoF - More interesting rules would be nice, with either 16-digit displays or lower scoring. And the Super Bands have got to go.
Rollergames - Wish it had an original plasma display, the LED repros just don't have the same charm. Ball trough is weirdly forceful-sounding even after tweaks.
Twilight Zone - Skill shot, as always, and gumball motor is dying. Too heavy to conveniently pull out of the basement and share at the Collective.
Police Force - That repetitive ramp tho. Also the dinging noises are irritating.
Road Show - Really ought to get that random city ROM hack. Heavy as TZ.
Undertale - The two saucers and the VUK constantly reject balls. It's like the idiot who designed the game never bothered to build a flippable whitewood.

    #230 4 years ago

Ghostbusters Pro: ball drain hell as everyone knows and where's the new code?

Back to the Future: fairly boring game that only sticks around because it's a must-have theme for me.

Guardians of the Galaxy Premium: those voice actors did the best they could I'm sure, but yikes.

Indiana Jones: it sets a standard so high that it makes my other games' flaws too obvious.

    #231 4 years ago

    Bride of pinbot 2.0
    Video mode is lame

    Congo
Lower playfield is also lame and too easy

    Bram stokers Dracula
Game is very clunky and feels like everything is in your way

    Funhouse
Very low scoring ( compared to other games in my collection)

    Starwars pro
Video mode is so so. Lots of side drains

    Iron maiden pro
only thing I can think of is sometimes the ball will fly off the left ramp over the flippers and draining.

Keep in mind I think I have the perfect collection for me and love playing them all for different reasons.

    #232 4 years ago

TNA, the same shit over and over again
Embryon, space vaginas (both a negative and a plus)
Flash Gordon, too hard, screw you Ming
SW Premium, right inner orbit with the fork up sucks
ACDC premium, screw you Encore, you are too hard
MMr, really, the castle just keeps blowing up?
    TS, your theme sucks
SS, a 2 year old could beat the wizard mode
AFM, really, the ship just bounces around again?
Met Premium, I'm tired of chopping wood
ASLE, shoot the blinky light mode
IMDNLE, does this mech ever work?
BKSORLE, let me make this right flipper shot
Zombie league allstars, is this really all this thing does?
DPLE, F you, I wont say anything bad about my beloved Deadpool.

    #233 4 years ago

    All - Too damn expensive.

    All - Too damn heavy.

All - Take up too damn much space.

All - Can only play one at a time!

    #234 4 years ago

Whirlwind fan freezes my nuts off in the basement in winter.

Police force: Center ramp shot is easily repeatable, also a reason why new players really like it but gets old quick for more skilled players. Still love the game though.

Ghostbusters: Outlines and SDTM drains are brutal on this game the way I have it setup. It defiantly teaches you the importance of ball control.

Revenge From Mars: a lot of stop and go in certain modes. Newer ver 2.1 code address some of this and increases flowiness but haven’t had the game long enough to really see any flaws.

Black Knight: got to have the drops dialed in correctly. Not a fan is this drop mech design, sometimes they work, sometimes they don’t. Maybe it’s just me.

Cyclone: This is hard, I’m not sure what I don’t like about this game or know of any issues that people see as a flaw. I need to play it more I guess?

    Independence Day: Shallow Rule set.

Flight2000: don’t have enough time on this machine to name any flaws.

Triple Action: haven’t played enough to see any flaws besides the fact that it’s an EM and a pain to work on.

    #236 4 years ago

I cant afford the games I really want.

    #238 4 years ago

Galaxy Ranger - No 3 Ball Setting.

Jurassic Park The Lost World - Try fixing the snagger and get back to me.

The X Files - The ramps can be a little monotonous.

Atlantis - Multiball is hard to achieve and too easy for the Jackpot.

Honey - I literally can't think of anything bad, the cabinet is rough I guess.

Hot Hand - NOTHING BAD OHMIGOSH

Alien Star - Wish the music was better.

    #239 4 years ago

    Theatre of Magic:
Darn annoying to adjust the two outlane Eddy sensors all the time.

    Addams Family:
The three magnets are a cool idea that turns into annoying really fast. Also, why the heck is the playfield so dark.

    Twiligt Zone:
Yeah the ceramic ball is different but due to its rubber-ball bounciness and super speed it always drain in a few seconds for me.

    Black Rose:
It's impossible to level the darn cannon assembly properly, one have to accept "good enough".

    Revenge From Mars:
I hate to move this beast around, it weights a ton with that CRT installed.

    #240 4 years ago

Surf Champ: wish it had a 100,000 light.

Bally Star Trek: wish Bonus reset when you collect it during a ball in play

    #241 4 years ago

Doctor Who: I wish it was in a little better shape.
Elvira and the Party Monsters: I wish it was Scared Stiff?
Twilight Zone: The Camera switch sometimes doesn’t register when I hit it with the ball.
Indiana Jones: My youngest niece set the high score and I can even get close to it...I just keep hitting the bumpers on either sides of the ramps.

    #242 4 years ago

The Sopranos: Just some terrible photoshop art that is really illuminated with all the bright flashers in this game.
Night Rider: Really? It is a game based on America's trucking industry...
Fireball (home edition): Hit the 1-2-3 targets then max out bonus, nothing else to do after that but drain!
Vacation America: Hmmmm... where to begin with this one? Bad art. Incomplete code. Unsatisfying shots. Repetitive callouts and music. Overall it is just one of the worst pinball machines to own!

    #243 4 years ago

SM - Doc-Ock hole is a bitch to hit
LOTR - Shoots kinda clunky at times
TSPP - The call outs do grate on me at times
MBr - Wolfman sounds like such a snowflake
Met - That stupid single large fuel target is such a lame cost cutting attempt
MMr - The faded black inserts still rub me wrong
AFMr - Fucking dimple fest, Jesus Christ
BKSOR - Main center ramp is a son of a bitch, hard to actually make that ramp. Bad design
Funhouse - Rudy’s eyes scare me
Star Trek (Stern) - Great game, sorta copycat of STTNG though
TWD - Call outs not being real actors is shitty as fuck. Stupid hillbilly
TnA - The fact that it’s abbreviation is tits n’ ass. I’m Gay and don’t even like that. Embarrassing when I tell my friends “Let’s go play some TnA co-op.” I get weird looks like, whaaaatttttt???

    #244 4 years ago

Grand Prix - the front legs are too short

Dipsy Doodle - there are no inlanes

Jungle Queen - there are no slingshots, only baby flippers

    Stars - it’s a Stars

Odds and Evens - sometimes only starts you with 4 balls

Big Guns - the up post was fabricated wrong from the manufacturer.

Game of Thrones - it’s hard to get the backglass out

Big Game - there are too many tigers on the game.

Firepower - there is no top gate in the game.

WWF - doesn’t feature Jake the Snake anywhere.

    AC/DC- not enough Bon Scott

World Cup Soccer - Where’s Pele’??

Genesis - not enough Phil Collins

Jungle Lord - Again, what’s with all the tigers??

Nugent - Not enough Ted Nugent

Flight 2000 - wish they had someone better doing the callouts.

    Baby Pacman- it’s too easy

    #245 4 years ago

Game of Thrones - it’s hard to get the backglass out.....I know, and why is she wearing cloths!!!

    #246 4 years ago

Not sure how I missed this. Great topic. Here goes...

    **Deep breath**

Black Knight SoR- Hate the green in the translite
Iron Maiden (stern)- Left ramp is my nemesis
Star Trek (stern)- Left kickback is awful
Deadpool- Wish adult mode callouts were slightly more "adulty"
AfM re- Airballs. Original had em too so...whatevs
MM re- The girls in the tower. Hate em. Annoying
    MB re- Scoop inconsistency
Flight2k- multiball is too difficult to get to, but that was the era
Paragon- the midgets head on backglass never looked proportionate to me
EBD- Needs a spinner. Every. Game. Needs. Spinner(s)
    Meteor- Sound grating at times
    Fathom- Sound grating at times
    Gorgar- Sound grating at times
AC/DC- never clear enough as to what needs shot. Everything is lit always
Batman 66- left orbit can be a m'f'er
Dialed In- The theme could be better, but shoots so well, don't care
Hobbit- Theme is the best implementation ever. Could shoot slightly better. Still love it.
WoZ- Too long of ball times, but still feel robbed. Weird
    TNA- Less reliance on locks
    Beatles- Price is whack

JD: no incentive to complete the modes. There are 11, which is a lot for the time but letting them time out to get to wizard mode can result in a higher score than taking the risk to complete them.

    DM: translite, duh

T2: hate how over rated it is because if the license. Everyone that comes over assumes it is my best machine, but is probably my least favorite.

JM: the license, the cabinet fade, the lack of effort put into the video mode art (the play of the mode itself doesn't bug me too much).

BOPP: right handed bobby orr and that damn Blackhawks logo.

OT - I’m wondering what you’re doing that I’m not. I never get big points in Ultimate Challenge, maybe 50 - 100 million? But in a mode like Sniper I can get 80 million in a couple shots.
