And they sucked big time! I've herd a lot about lord of the rings and I won't play it again. It was a snooze fest. Ij sucked the most I know I'll never sell my Williams Indy after playing sterns, what a turd! Batman was just ok but I was really disappointed after comming to the airport early just to play them. I ended up playing some of the drivers instead. Ed

Sorry title should of said lotr. But wow what a disappointment. The stern isn't even in the same ballpark as the Williams Ij. Just made me think of never letting my Williams Ij go. Ed

Here we go. Thanks for the pics.

    Which airport?

Ye Olde Airport of No Fun.

    The airport in Minnesota. Ed

I think a few years ago you would have found TRS there also.

There are two arcades at that airport - forget the terminal names but the other one has Spiderman POTC and something else I think

Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport, Wold–Chamberlain Field. Charles Lindbergh Terminal.

Did you catch what the name of that fighter plane game was?

    #11 10 years ago

I figured that was at the Minneapolis airport. Been there a few times, and while I'm happy to see that there are actual pins at an airport, they aren't exactly in the best shape. Still, one of the best ways to kill time.

Last time I was there back in 2012, not sure which terminal it was, they also had TRS, Tron, WoF and WPT. Only TRS and Tron were working.

Was the LOTR completely working? If you just play modes, then it's not great. But the multiballs are insanely fun.

Agreed on the Indy, but LOTR and BDK are pretty good machines, if the work properly. Indiana Jones dumping a bunch of balls on the playfield is cool the first couple of times. Kind of like Apollo 13, until you realize that 13 balls is a waste of time.

Your complaining about finding pinball in a airport? I would probably die from happiness if I found pinball in a airport.

I knew it had to be the Minneapolis Airport just from the title. I don't know of another airport in the country that has anything close to the quantity of pins we have there. Then I saw the "Thiesen Vending" ops tag and knew for sure. They always have varying degrees of functionality, but they are better than nothing for sure. They always get a few coins from me when traveling.

Here are the ones by Gate F7 at MSP today, September 9, 2014. All very clean and they played well.
