What's the best product to fill the wear in front of the sanctum. Apparently Bondo doesn't work
Check out this link, he did a good job on the repair.

i have this issue and they have this on ebay...
ebay.com link: SHADOW Pinball Machine Sanctum Overlay Decal
i was thinking about taking a chance and buying one, but i don't know if it's going to match...
My game had the overlay when I bought it but I didn't like the color match so I attempted the repair myself using wood epoxy and the gray paint color mentioned in the repair guide and it turned out pretty good.

I've seen the sticker and didn't really like it either. I used durhams wood putty but didn't paint it. One game an it cracked all to hell and turned to dust. But it worked. Figured I'd do it again an use the sticker but I'm thinking paint now!
Hey nutshell79, how's the wood epoxy repair holding up for you?
Did you use the JB Weld Kwikwood or the other variety spelled Quikwood?
I used glazing putty and that failed pretty quickly. Looking around it seems the two recommended options are either JB Weld Epoxy or Kwikwood and I was curious what your experience has been.
I used the quikwood sold at PBL. It's been about a year and the only problem I'm having is the paint is chipping under the mylar. The epoxy repair seems to be holding up. The mistake I made was I didn't do a good job of sanding the area down before I repainted. I'm going to touch it up again at some point.
I also heard that JB weld works good.
Just a follow up. I used bondo and it is working perfect. The machine was very paticular about being at 6.5 degrees. Had it a 6 and it wasn't working. All is well now
Quoted from mattmain:I used bondo and it is working perfect. The machine was very paticular about being at 6.5 degrees. Had it a 6 and it wasn't working
mattmain, what problem were you having? Mine will stop the ball for a couple seconds and just drop it or sometimes it throws the ball into the wall because it didn't drop like it was supposed to. It was working fine and then all of a sudden started doing this stuff. Heard that a divot in the sanctum can cause this. Was yours doing any of this?
Yes a divot can cause that, even a very very slight one, the ball has to drop a bit before its thrown.
Thats exactly what mine was doing. I filled it with bondo from lowes and sanded lightly. Just orders a sticker off ebay to protect my work. Like I said earlier....the level and degree of the machine made a lot of difference for mine. Sears sells a really nice digital level to get you playfield where you want it. Im sure there are a bunch of different types but here is this one.
