Was given to be by Ted Estes when I beta-tested 9.4H for him, back in the day. I *rarely* use it - most of the time I put it in only when friends or other pinheads stop by. Frankly - it's effin' IMPOSSIBLE to see. Dark blue over a dark blue playfield.. Holy cow.

I know of one other - LITZ here has one he got from Pat Lawlor, I believe.

I mentioned that I had two LEDs out. Today I had a killer game, but noticed I had *4* out. What the hell?
One was just loose in its socket. Two were really out.. The 4th one, though.. turns out, it's diode shorted open.

I have *honestly* say that in my years of being a tech in the 90's, I have NEVER had a diode on a lamp board go dead. Absolutely crazy.

Another quick update.

This game is getting settled in, apparently.

Some issues -
The Rocket Kicker protector I had was defective, so I bought a new one, and an ball eject protector from Cliffy. The new rocket kicker sits MUCH flatter, and is 100% better. The ball eject I had to remove the apron and ball guides, and it went on with a little trouble. While I had everything apart down there, I went ahead and put some light mylar over the outhole edge down between the flippers. My game seems to abuse this area, and part of the restore that HEP did has chipped off. Until Cliffy has a protector for this area, I'm hoping the mylar will help.

Balls ejected out of the autofire kicker were hitting something on the ramp to the spiral and hitting all around - usually the underside of the main ramp! I knew the blue flap was scratched up and needed repair, so I decided I would take it out and put a new flap on. Unfortunately, my flap was missing - and I had TWO lock flaps. Sure enough - when I redid the lock ramp flap, I put the wrong flap on it. (Interestingly, though, it fit perfectly.) So, this little fix causes all this to have to be taken apart:

It's not back together yet - but the flaps are done. Tonight I'm going to go ahead and clean/wax the spiral and hard-to-get areas while I can, and then reassemble.
