Stern, 2012I thought I would upgrade my ACDC backbox speakers with some Kickers (4 Ohm) I had laying around and have seen posts that say SAM speakers are wired in parallel so I need to wire in series. When I opened my backbox up I notice that its wired in series with a 10 mfd cap between the left speaker negative and right speaker positive.
Am I crazy or is there bad info out there?

Can't tell by your picture how your speakers are wired. Never heard of wiring (stereo) speakers in series. I suppose if your mono amp was designed for 8 ohm speakers and you were installing 4 ohm speakers, you could wire them in series to match the amp impedance, but would probably degrade the overall sound quality.
Honestly, if you want to upgrade your sound system, go with Pinsound or Pinwoofer system.
