    Looks great. Snagged one

    #102 1 year ago

Missed again! Just logged on, sold out! Need a bigger run of these! Great looking watch, I am bummed

    #104 1 year ago

Very nice Ryan. Just logged on at 6:30 eastern and sold out. I was surprised they offer so few of them.

    Good times and Congratulations again.

...aaaand sold out in 26 minutes. THAT...was bonkers.

Thanks to everyone here who showed interest in my design. If you wanted one but didn't manage to beat the crowd, you can show your interest by emailing:

    [email protected]

...and let them know you'd love to see "Ricochet" get moved into their permanent collection.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!

    Sincerely,
    Ryan

I think it sold out quicker than that. I bought one at about 7:10 but then I got an email saying my order was cancelled. Maybe next time. I’ll add my name to the list if it gets added to the permanent collection.

Great job Ryan! It is an amazing design!

    #107 1 year ago

    Nice looking watch!
I like the foil on the robots. Congrats on another FAST sellout

    #108 1 year ago

Had one in my basket but didn't check out in time

    #109 1 year ago

Crazy. I completed my order at 6:02 CDT, they were roughly half gone at that point. Watch sale went live around 5:58AM CDT.

    #110 1 year ago

    Damn those went quick

    #112 1 year ago

Snagged #5... w00t! Will be sporting this at the museum soon, because HAVE TO!

    #113 1 year ago

Missed it. Really didn't think it would go THAT fast.
    Congrats Ryan, that's awesome!

    #114 1 year ago

Damn missed it - anyone want to sell yours and get an guaranteed LE spot of something coming up (just kidding !) it's all I have to barter with ! If anyone want to sell their spot I'm in like Flynn !
    Congrats Ryan !

    #115 1 year ago

Thank you so much, everyone! Looks like they posted an interest list on the same page:

    https://mrjoneswatches.com/products/ricochet

...so that should make things a little easier than emailing them directly. Regardless...

    ...thank you, Tommy!

    #116 1 year ago

Congrats on the awesome design, and the quickness in which they sold out. Great work as always Ryan.

    #117 1 year ago

Looks great, congrats on the quick sell out and congrats to everyone that snagged one.

    Signed up. Fingers crossed.

    #119 1 year ago

Ryan now that that's over - where's the next Coin Op Carnival with Nick ? Come on man all your time should be devoted to pinball content - snap snap !

    #120 1 year ago

I also missed out. I love jump hour watches but never liked the rotating minutes. When they rotate out of view it is sometimes almost impossible to tell what minute it is. But your design is pinball gold! That said, I loved your Step Right Up design. It’s so well thought out with the rotating plates as the numbers. I signed up to be on the waitlist for that one! Congratulations!

    #121 1 year ago

Sold out before I even woke up for the day.

    +1

    What a beautiful timepiece!

    #123 1 year ago

Another really cool design Ryan! Strong PATZ vibe on that one.

    #124 1 year ago

First time seeing this thread and already feel disappointed I've missed these watches.

    Great design work!

    #125 1 year ago

I'm going to channel my watch-based frustrations into table-thumping about the next Coinop Carnival instead!

    #126 1 year ago

WHAT THE HELL! Woke up early and STILL Sold Out! Grrrrrr!

    #127 1 year ago

    Agree about Step Right Up
I like that one. Missed it as well

    #128 1 year ago

too many wonderful time pieces, just not enough time.

    #129 1 year ago

Damn! 4am pst, we got screwed on the coast. Can’t believe they were gone so quick. Cool design!

    #130 1 year ago

Nice work Ryan, robots and pinball are a great combo! Wish I coulda scored one.

    #131 1 year ago

Well, with sooo much interest, maybe they'll put it into the permanent rotation asap. (that would be wise of them)!

Thanks, again, for all the kind words! I really appreciate it.

First, I'd like to toss some photographs here for posterity (how have I not posted these yet???):

Also, I've not had a chance to let you know about all the cool features on this design!

    - If those robots look SHINY, THEY ARE! In fact, they're GILDED in gold, palladium, and copper leaf!
    - Not only are those bots gilded, but this is the first watch the company has ever TRIPLE-GILDED!
    - While my previous watch design used a quartz movement (battery powered), this design uses an AUTOMATIC MOVEMENT (operates completely mechanically without batteries, automagically wound by the movement of your wrist)!
    - The particular type of movement is called a "JUMP HOUR" movement, in which the hour numeral stays in one place until the minutes move back to "00", at which point the hour JUMPS to the next digit. Pretty fun to see at the top of each hour! Check it out:

    jumpHour04-400-pinside.gifjumpHour04-400-pinside.gif

    - Finally, if all that wasn’t exciting enough, the inserts and pop bumper on the playfield appear to “light and unlight” (due to the rotating seconds disc behind it), giving the scene a more lively and interactive feel!

Sorry to twist the knife for folks who didn't manage to get one, but hey, have I mentioned that I have an email update that I send our every other month? It talks about new art of mine, lots of behind the scenes stuff before I share it publicly, and even up to the minute announcements about launches like THIS! All this to say, if that sounds interesting to you, you can sign up here:

    http://elephanteater.com/contact

    elephantEaterComicsEmailList.jpgelephantEaterComicsEmailList.jpg

...and I promise I'll let you know if MJW decides to release any of my designs into their permanent collection.

Many thanks for your interest in my work, everyone! I truly appreciate it!

    #133 1 year ago

Love the Ricochet design, I didn't wake up early enough to score one but have emailed Mr. Jones and joined the waiting list, hopefully if enough of us do likewise they'll consider a reissue at some point. And cheers to those that scored one, and to Ryan for another instant sellout!

Did no Pinsider hoard like 5 of these to scalp here for profit?

    I'd be in for one!

Mr Jones won't let anyone order more than one. They say they'll cancel your orders if you try it.

With as many watches you show off, this does NOT surprise me.

Already received my shipment email as of 8:30AM CDT this morning

Sort of desensitized with these multi-month waits on pinball orders. Pretty cool to order something like this and have it shipped ~immediately!

Mr. Jones emailed back today and said they’ve had a lot of interest and Ricochet will be rereleased at some point in the future, with details to come via social media “in due course.” Great news for those of us that struck out yesterday (and of course great news for Ryan)!

Didnt they release these with a 150 limited production?

100 in total for this run.

Limited to 100 numbered watches. But I gather that for super-popular designs they'll sometimes tweak things a bit (e.g. different colors) and re-release as an unnumbered non-LE. I think that's what happened with the toon godzilla watch and maybe some of the others in their "permanent" collection.

Not to derail from Ryan's incredible design, but since "engraving" became a side topic of sorts I'd thought I'd follow up on that.

I have engraving bits for my Dremel that I've used with good results, but the Dremel is too bulky and awkward for precision work in tight spaces.

I saw Harbor Freight had a pen engraver for $8...

    98227_I (resized).jpg98227_I (resized).jpg

I know, I know but... for $8 and local pickup I could practice on scrap first (and if not up to snuff for a watch, it would still be easier than the Dremel for other things). Happily, the bit did NOT wobble in the slightest at all, and on some scrap chromed stainless it did a nice enough job, so to the watch I went:

    engraved (resized).jpgengraved (resized).jpg

(Complete with tiny squiggles and imperfections, proof that it was engraved by the hard-working indigenous peoples of... please hold wherever)

ANYWAY for anyone considering engraving these as a gift, this might be an option.

As for RICOCHET - AUGH!!! I had #76 in my cart early on and was sooo clossse to buying... but this impromptu gift for my daughter - the same one who repainted my Bad Cats playfield when she was 13 - pushed my budget beyond where I wanted to be right now so I just couldn't pull the trigger, I'm trying to behave. So mine will have to wait for the re-run, as I'm definitely on the list. Congrats again on the quick sellout Ryan! I sense a steady recurring gig for you

Arrived this morning via FedEx. The colors really pop in daylight. Great design RyanClaytor and execution by Mr Jones.

I made the mistake of mentioning Ryan's work to my spouse at dinner the other night.
She ask, but if they are sold out would I like another piece from Mr. Jones, reluctantly I said yes.

There’s one I have my eye on now but really questioning spending $500 on a watch

Might do the Day of the Dead watch....while I'm waiting!!

Tell her to hold on a minute and order you a Ricochet once they drop the unlimited version! Unless you're thinking get one now, and then get another one later, in which case carry on.
