    Quoted from Hammerhead:

    John Borg noteable games:

Come on man... at least list Iron Man, Metallica, Walking Dead, GnR.

    I'd buy this instantly.

    Quoted from skink91:

Borg has had some stinkers. Also, the Indiana Jones is NOT the one you are thinking of.

    #54 3 years ago

I don’t care who designs it, but Lyman has to code it. He’s a huge Rush fan, and the only time I’d consider buying a Stern is if he’s coding it.

    Quoted from kermit24:

Fair enough. I will correct that.

Also, I am a huge fan of Keith’s designs so far - that being said, Borg has been doing this for longer and should be credited for his great designs too. That was my point in bringing it up.

    #56 3 years ago

Probably asked and answered in previous posts/threads, but do we even know if Stern has this license/IP?

It’s just a speculation/wish thread. No rumors or fact associated.

11 Rush concerts from 1980-2013. I'd be all in on a Rush pin !

And yet it is in the ‘announcements’ area. The question stands, regardless.

    #60 3 years ago

I think its a safe bet that I would be placing my deposit the day the announcement is made.

15 shows (including once in Toronto. Was like a Rush fans Graceland trip).

My money would be down on a super LE with over priced topper sight un seen. Has been my all time favorite band since I was 12. I have seen them 8 times and every time has been an experience ill never forget. Including pics of some of the concert tix I've been able to save over time.

Just thinking about playing pinball to Tom Sawyer in a dim lit room with the LEDs flashing in rhythm is giving me goosebumps!

    #63 3 years ago

Let’s go Keith!! LE’s are gunna sell out first day. This will be the best music machine ever assembled. Praying this is eh reality

A rush x elrwin machine would save the planet and the human race from all threats! PLEASE KEITH!! YOU CAN SAVE THE WORLD

    Quoted from wamonkey:

They are already working on the graphics

Thats some funny shit right there.

I hope you guys are right but I would be shocked if they did a Rush pin.

they do bands that have 100 million + sold globally and have the widest possible appeal.

I love some Rush but they arent in that league, few bands are.

    Quoted from Elvishasleft:

    Like Primus?

They ran what like 300 of those? and they didnt sell.

I believe they might be in the top 5 of most consecutive gold albums. And they have a crapload of albums.

Primus contracted them to make them.

Stern will make anything if you ask nicely and pay the invoice.

A Rush-Elwin combo would be my first LE no questions asked. Huge fan of both. If it weren’t Elwin I’d need to see some details first.

How much do you think it would cost to commission a game?

    That doesnt matter....

interweb says they sold 40 million total globally which is a shit ton of records but certainly not 100 million superband status.

"With more than 40 million records sold worldwide and countless sold-out tours, Rush – Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart "

I hope they do it as much as anyone just dont see it happening for them or any other more acquired taste band people bring up over and over (Beastie Boys, Slayer on and on)

    Quoted from QuickSilverShelby:

    QSS

    Dunno!

If they use their standard “contract” formats of either Whoa Nellie or Spider-Man Home, I’d imagine they’d be reasonable.

If you bought 300 like Primus did, I’d imagine (my wild stab) around the $4500 mark per each.
    Give or take.

Then you get to market them yourself at whatever price you want.

I don’t know what kind of Canadian sales numbers stern has......but a Rush pin I would assume would boost them up dramatically. Maybe open up a new market?

I’m with most of you here. When I registered my Iron Maiden they asked what property I would like to see, Rush is the only answer for me. Instant buy.

I am pretty certain I also listed for Rush for each of the three Elwin registrations.

All that being said, the rumor that I heard was it was Borg and Lyman on Rush.

Something not measurable when comparing raw sales figures is the intensity of the fan base. LZ sold way more records than Rush, but I don’t believe they have a dedicated fan base that buys ANYTHING with the band logo on it. Rush has that fan base - possibly only comparable to KISS in this respect

    Your new favorite band.

Well, I let my distributor know that I am in on an LE for any new Elwin as well as any Rush pin so... I am covered.

    #83 3 years ago

I’d be in for making this my first NIB purchase, and would even do a preorder

I'm torn. If Neil was involved I know he would have deep dived and nuanced every aspect of a game as he did with everything he was involved with. To perfection. But he won't be involved. As much as the brilliant minds of Rush could create the most spiritual and mirror life music, at the same time they made fun of themselves constantly. That playfulness would make a perfect game playfield. (Example would be the removing the bass amp stacks and replacing them with clothes driers as the did on tour) But, what Neil talked about in all of their songs was far beyond what a pinball could ever translate or educate. Unless, of course if Neil could figure out how to do it. That's why his nickname was "The Professor".

    #85 3 years ago

The Rush catalog is so robust imagine how cool this machine could be. I may be biased but a Rush pinball machine has HUGE potential to crack the top 10.

I was chatting with John at Pintastic NE. I showed him my post from 8 years ago, https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/would-love-to-see-a-rush-pinball/page/4#post-6607862 . I said your gonna call me an asshole, but this is the post I started 8 years ago. He chuckled and we left the discussion. I didn't want to be an asshole.

I have seen a couple of custom Rush machines fans have made and always wished for a commercial one, especially when you see those cool AC/DC machines.

Having a modern Borg Stern is more than I could dream. Can't wait to see it!
