Quoted from d0n:Anyone wanna guess 1250 on the next LE with the price being even higher than this rush? Stern's milking us guys.
Oh FFS... No one is forcing anyone to buy anything so stop with this "milking us" BS. This is VERY simple, if you can't afford it or don't want to buy it because of it's cost then DON'T BUY IT. If you find that to be not fair or a little cold, deal with it. No one is entitled to anything regardless of whether you think you are. Stern is not required, and neither is any other manufacturer for that matter, to make what people perceive to be "affordable" games. They are a business, and so long as people are buying these machines faster than they can be built things are only going to get more and more expensive. Will there be a limit? Absolutely, especially at the volume they're producing at currently. What is that limit? No freaking clue and any attempt to forecast that is just a waste of time.
Personally I'm amazed at how strong the pinball market is, I thought for sure once people started going back to work the market would cool off but the exact opposite seems to have happened... Does this mean we're in a bubble? Sure, but that bubble could end up being relatively small. What I feel pretty confident in is we're nowhere near the price ceiling that would actually impact demand and so while that's the case, companies are going to keep churning out machines as fast as they can while the iron is hot. That's exactly what they should be doing. Look at the benefits, we've gotten some outstanding pins/themes in the last few years that may never have been built had the market not went nuclear. As for me, my on the way Spooky Halloween CE will probably be the last NIB game I pick up for a long time due to their current cost but I'm a sucker for certain themes so who knows...
