Love it, I’m in!
I whipped up this Spotify playlist with the songs in the teaser. My distributor says formal reveal next Tuesday.

Quoted from WeirPinball:When is the announcement? January?
My dealer told me the announcement is next Tuesday.
I just listened to the two Stern Insider podcasts which were great! Highly recommend.
The design team said it was a “forgiving” playing game. So there is some hope it won’t be as punishing as some of John’s other games. Time will tell.
Quoted from Animal:So, I reached out to my local distributor on the 29th, prior to the launch, but after seeing this thread, Ive bought 5 pins off them, not too many, but Im not an unknown...and they told me it is unlikely I can secure a Rush LE because of demand. I then see someone posting an LE here for 14k, obviously flipping it - I think this behaviour should be strongly discouraged. There is very little wrong with pinball, but lately, we have seen this and THIS is wrong with pinball.
My dealer will not sell future LEs to flippers. I think this is an awesome practice.
The other problem with flipping $11,099 games for $14k even before we have seen one flip is it gives Stern the feeling they priced it too low.
We saw LE flipping years ago. We need another WWE LE to burn those flippers to the ground and trim them back.
Quoted from Bwheels:No kidding. But I probably deserve some of the beating.
No beating deserved. You resisted the temptation of easy money and did the right thing. Good on you!
Quoted from cooked71:Unfortunately I dont think so - looks like opto's register the shot and it just hits a bit of metal. That's a bit of a disappointment for sure - would have been more satisfying if they had a target for sure.[quoted image]
Low hanging modder fodder!
Quoted from PinBalt:Can we just keep this one going? Lots of good stories, vibes and info.
I like this idea too - let’s just change the title of this thread when games are in hands.
Quoted from 80sMan:I agree. I have many polks and use them for most games and they work just fine but for rock pins I like Klipsch. You get 2-3 x more power, tight & clean for only $50-70 more dollars. 12's are just a little more but not much, but since all my subs are 10's.. I stay with 10's so they don't look out of place.
amazon.com link »
Actually the Klipsch 12 is $35 bucks less than the Klipsch 10 at the moment. Only $35 more than the Polk PSW10. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00MJ1YR8Y/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_V5J0NS6ENMKG29ECP83T
Seems like a great deal for a bigger driver and 200W vs 50w on the PSW10.
Quoted from Guinnesstime:That's fantastic. I hope your uncle's is a country place
Hey, no one knows about that!
Quoted from Gryszzz:But the Big Money made it but no Animate?!
C'mon man!
Thank goodness or all the songs would sound the same!
Love The Big Money. You gotta listen to it with a full range system with a capable sub. It really kicks. Plus just listen to Neil's drumming. He is working it!
Quoted from SkyKing2301:This has been one of the most fun parts about this thread -- seeing how different everyone's Rush preferences are ... can we take a moment to think how cool it is, that their catalog is so deep and diverse that we can have such a variety of opinions?
So true. They reinvented themselves so many times over their career. Something for everyone in their catalog.
Quoted from Vespula:It is. That and mystic rhythms are my two favorites on power windows... Followed by marathon and manhatten project. The other 4 songs I can't recall and I think that's pretty common.
Oooh, just listened to Manhattan Project again. So good.
Played a friends Pro for a few hours last night that is going on location in the next few days. This game is awesome!
1) This game is fun!
2) The game needs an external sub or augmented speakers. The stock speakers are anemic (think transistor radio sounding).
3) Protector Gate is real - the scoop protectors were bent and hanging up the ball in a matter of hours of play.
4) They need to balance out the volume of the callouts in relationship to each other. Some were audible, some were too quiet you couldn't hear them (simple code update)
5) They need to change the font on the screen. They laid it out like they have a JJP sized screen with information all around the perimeter of the screen. You can't read 1/2 of it without leaning way over the playfield or standing next to the game.
6) The squeak sound is still there but it isn't at all annoying as it was on the streams. It's just another sound of the game.
7) ZERO cheap drains (except from the Time Machine but they have a ball save on it).
Lots of fun shots. Awesome variety. The lock shot on the left is SUPER late. The left shot through the pop bumpers is make-able 8 times out of 10 unlike others like Aerosmith where it is 1 time out of 10. Hold the upper flipper up to bounce that pop bumper orbit shot into the upper scoop. If not, watch it or the ball will rocket down to the lower flippers and out if you are not ready. Great flow and awesome ability for many combos.
Short plunge to the variety of skill shots (red arrows).
Left ramp, very make-able. Top diverter - very cool.
Time machine is a very long shot that takes some skill but not impossible (we all were able to hit it - eventually).
Upper orbit has to be my favorite. Hit it with the upper flipper. When it comes around to the right orbit lane, it hits the side and rattles, then consistently feeds the upper flipper so you can shoot it again. I think my record for the night was 8 in a row. I need to find the mode where that pays off. If there isn't one, there needs to be one added.... so fun!
Least favorite Pro shot is the dead end shot. That thing comes right back at you like you bricked a ramp shot and hit one of those little targets off to the side of the ramp (think POTC bricked shot).
Most dangerous Pro shot is the music drops on the left and Freewill multi-ball target behind them. It comes right back to the flippers. Need to practice that one...
Overall - this game is a blast! Being a Rush fan will help you enjoy it more but this will be popular with pinball fans everywhere.
