What's the deal with code updates with Stern Insider Connected?
I'm on wifi. Connected successfully. I register the game, but there's no option to update, because it just stays "go register with IC for updates". It doesn't even generate an email confirming registration?

because you didn't finish the registration of the game
after scanning your QR code you MUST goto the insider connected webpage and accept the game's registration there.

I hear ya man. I did a similar thing when I finally let go of my Tron to help fund a JJP POTC. Don't feel bad John, we all gotta do what we gotta do. I've played the pro and it shoots very nice and your premium will be that much better. I'm excited for you!

That is the product / warranty registration, it is different..
You have to turn the wifi on.
Then find the screen in the setup to register it for insider connected. At that point you need to scan your insider qr code. After scanning your code you will get a message in your insider app to complete the insider registration and to place it into a location.

You've just registered for the warranty from the card, correct? Now, login to your Insider Connect account, put that to the side by beside you...
Now, go to your Settings menu in your pin, go to Net setup, connect to your wifi. Now, do you see where in that same menu after you connected "Stern Insider Connected"? It even says, "To register your game, etc. etc.," just scan your Insider Connect QR code from your account and scan it on your pin.
Once it says "To complete registration..." on the pinball screen, go to your insider connect account on your phone/laptop, Click on your profile/avatar icon, Click "Machines", now click the button next to Rush to complete registration.

Thanks guys. Well I did it. And....update failed. Didn't download the whole thing. I'm 10 feet from my router. USB stick it is. IC so far is a failure.

Just got my Rush yesterday and took me several tries last night to get mine to update.. The Rush update is huge compared to anything else I have.. Had to click to automatically download updates a couple times to convince the game to keep downloading in the background, as it would start then appear to stop / fail..
Keep at it, it will work, and there are probably updates hidden in the new code to help a bit with this part..

Thanks. I just don't feel like being frustrated to keep trying. I'm not going to spend money to update Maiden and Mando to IC anyway, so might as well skip it.

Yeah! You're 100% correct! I fixed my mistake later and cleaned the balls with glass cleaner and a microfiber cloth.

no, correcting your mistake would be putting those crappy spheres in your recycle and putting in some quality pinballs.
seriously, I've seen some really bad quality balls come shipped with games from both stern and spooky. anything to save a few pennies here and there

Ha ha there was no such sticker on any side of my #511. Maybe someone stole the sticker itself thinking that was the valuable thing ?
#511 is in really good shape though. Very happy with « my precious» so far. The more I play, the more I enjoy it.

ball baron has some really nice products. for a game like RUSH that has magnets, you'll want to use a carbon steel (instead of a chrome) ball to reduce the probability of the balls becoming easily magnetized

I just locked one of those in! I’m super excited, but just a little worried about the scoop protectors surviving the show. I’m bringing mylar and a shooter lane protector. Funny thing is, I just last night did this for my LZ Premium that was at SFGE last year. I lucked out, there was still no visible wear.

Awesome! I'm on his list for a Premium and kind of thought about grabbing one of the games he's taking to KY, but kinda had the same thoughts regarding the scoop. I also figure this will be my "first and only" NiB game so I'm looking forward to that experience at home.
Congrats on the grab - I hope the other two he has listed go soon, just to remove the temptation!

Yeah, it’s definitely worth the wait for that singular experience. I’ve done four NIB (LOTR, MET, JP, STH). But now I’ll always buy games at a show if I can.

Yep, Stern allows new promo games that are sold at shows to be sold at a reduced price compared to MSRP. Depending on the show they will have around 300-500 plays on them. I have several friends who have bought pins that way.
