The topper will be a dozen men in they’re 50’s dressed in Rush Tshirts (hopefully not soccer mom jeans) air drumming the best they can to whichever song is being played .Would be the best selling topper ever ! 2k ,count me in

don't forget the GLEAMING White gym shoes..
Quoted from Blackwolf:My initial idea for a topper would be Neil's drumset, but it rotates around depending on if the song you're in is acoustic or electronic, much like it did on stage.
Yeah I was thinking a rotating drum set would be cool since they didn’t do that on the playfield. It could tie in well with YYZ if that is the added mode. But then there is only so much space on top so to keep proper proportions it seems like it would be too small. Based on the height comment from Borg it could be the owl.
I posted this in the Rush mods thread but since we're talking toppers here, I think this is going to be what I do. Couple of us did this for our KISS machines. Less than $200 for a concert lighting experience.

Make it the Red Jumpsuit Crew and I'm in
Quoted from jonboy71:Pretty sure if you knew me, there would be zero questioning my Rush fan cred.
I wasn't questioning your "cred". I was a little buzzed and was shitty that you were questioning mine, since I'm the only one in thus thread that admitted to saying "Purt" all my life.
I've known many, many Rush fans and honestly, I've never heard it pronounced correctly by any of them.
I got shitty. Today's a new day. No big deal. Sorry for the pretty lame insult. I can do much better ha.

You don't know me from Adam but I'll stand by you - I'm 30 years old, started listening to Rush when I was 9 (thanks to the episode "Anthology of Interest I" of Futurama). I got to see them twice. I go see a tribute band when they're in town. I own a ton of merch - hell I'm in line to spend thousands on a dang pinball machine with their logo on it. Watched all the documentaries and have them on Blu Ray or DVD.
Even I said "Purt" until relatively recently. Maybe a year or two at absolute best.
Thanks bud. No big deal.
You guys that own both Polk and Klipsch subs...is the Klipsch THAT much better? It's a sub, so it's not like there's any higher frequencies being heard. Really leaning towards a Klipsch but trying to justify the price.

Yes, better than polk. I have 3 klipsch and 2 polk
Check Costco. I got my 12" ones last yr for 169

For a music pin, the Klipsch is a no-brainer. All my games have Polks, and I tried the Klipsch on my LZ. The difference was night and day, and now I have 2 more Klipsch subs in boxes waiting for Rush and whatever comes after.

There you have it, guys! Gryszzz will be using Pinsound to swap Bee Gees songs into his RUSH game.

They were 120 at Costco when I went last weekend. May still be on sale. I bought 2 and wish I bought more!

I've never tried wireless, will this work? I didn't look at the ad, sorry,,,,
Oh yeah...not looking for wireless. I remember seeing this now. Naw man, I'm plugged in all the way fuck WiFi
Quoted from Gryszzz:Ugh..no Costco close to me. Guess I'll drive an hour and be another "member" somewhere.
Have it shipped. Cheaper than gas

Fucking Indiana.
Man PERT's drums on Animate seem like a simple 4 on the floor almost but his CYMBAL WORK...SHITTT. So subtle and genius. Wish it was up more in the mix.

I didn't see wireless....mine were not the wireless that I bought.. 12" Klipsch though.....
Seems like a really good deal man, no doubt. I just don't like wireless.
Hardwired...like Jimmy and Kirk lol

Nope. Just look up the R12-SW. Unless it's not available online. In that case, drive to Jersey, we'll have a beer and play a few games, and we'll load up your car with Klipsch subs at my local costco before you head home.
Quoted from Gryszzz:Uhh[quoted image]
See if the Costco Ft. Wayne has some...then swing by Wizards World (aka Ft. Wayne Pinball) just a few miles down the road. 136 pins including Rush, all in top-notch shape.
You can still connect the wireless one w/RCA connectors.
Ultraman just showed up Monday.

How about this? $179.99
Know anywhere besides Walmart that's doing this price?
I fuckin despise Walmart and would rather not.
Speaking of Toppers for Rush, has does one go about ordering one? Do you get on a wait list now? Once available, do you order from a dealer, or direct from Stern? Thanks!
Monoprice has some of their subs on sale.
I use four 12" subs in the home theater and some 8" ones on the pins.
I use an inexpensive mixer and run multiple pins on a couple of subs.
Wife's wall decorations in an adjacent room actually vibrate when Star Trek is being played. LOL

So, I own a lot of Monoprice products and favor them very strongly. However, I actually bought this sub instead of the 10" Polk and I actually had to return it and was a pain in the ass. If you look up that model and google some reviews (especially on amazon), you will start to see some consistencies that it was underpowered or defected. I actually bought mine directly from Monoprice, so it seems to be a bad batch sent to vendors because they were familiar with my description immediately once I submitted a ticket.
I don't know if it was a certain factory run they had or what, but I received a bad sub from them, on this model, like a month ago and it was really annoying to deal with. In my opinion, and of course anyone can do what they want to do, but I would suggest a Klipsch or a Polk and spend a little more money.
This was just my experience and was shocked, actually, that I received a bad Monoprice sub. But it does seem specific to this model sub, a certain run or build, and consistent, numerous reviews stating the same issue. Just putting in my disgusting 2 cents out of my JORTS.
EDIT: I should add that I currently use the usual 10" Polk PSW10 like most people and it works great. I have a 11.2 home theater with all Klipsch premiers, so I know speakers pretty well. I do plan on buying a Klipsch R-12SW for Rush and I do currently use the Pinsub mixer on the Polk 10" to have multiple pins hooked up to it. Rush may get its own sub, at least initially.
Quoted from kool1:Cary on the Scoop..
Thats what happens when you armchair critique and from afar and it’s obvious he’s not touched a Rush game. Rush doesn’t have beveled edges on the scoop or even smooth edges that mylar would sit tight on. It has a stepped edge… obvious that it was intended to be covered and I’d speculate time optimized to not need another bit change on the cnc.

Straight legend.......
One of the best to ever do it
Quoted from insight75:I could watch videos like that for hours. I usually end up saying "oh so that is how they do that!" over and over.
haha, absolutely! Awesome for sure
Quoted from PinMonk:I think it's crazy that they've been holding on to RUSH wireform stock since March 31, 2021.
Really!!? Wow, that IS crazy! Just goes to show how far in advance that well oiled machine is and how many different titles they have coming and going. Very impressive

Polk PSW505 is more of an apples to apples with the Klipsch 12" sub - compare the specs. TBH I've not heard the Klipsch, but there's a PSW505 under each of my games and I've been pleased, YMMV.

Tried one of these and it rattles. Annoying as hell. Cannot figure out what is causing it. Unplugged it and put a Polk in its place.
