Gonna look great on the slings all lit up, all the modders are doing a great job for this title
Ok. After 39 consecutive Dreamline listens, decided that Subdivisions are still my favorite lyrics.
But, I'm "hearing" a couple different covers of Dreamline....
Wondering if anyone has ever done a slow, melancholy (maybe piano?) dirge. Would suit the lyrics perfectly.
I can also hear a razor sharp black metal take. Geddy's keyboard riffs lend themselves very well to ominous, Celtic Frost style horns. Would be an insane cover.
Not a big black metal guy but the more I think about it, a black metal Rush tribute band needs to absolutely be a thing.

They could be called R.U.S.H. and make it an acronym like W.A.S.P.

Quoted from Gryszzz:Today's track obsession:
Dreamline
A lyrical masterpiece that has been haunting me lately.
With the loss of Lyman and my buddy Al recently, the chorus has been all too relevant.
My favorite lyrics were always Subdivisions, but I think Dreamline has just surpassed that
We are young
Wandering the face of the earth
Wondering what our dreams might be worth
Learning that we're only immortal
For a limited time
I'm not crying you're crying
For years Lyman was on my ass to listen to some of the later Rush albums that I kept procrastinating about - so, today I FINALLY started on Clockwork Angels. I’m 9 songs in, and to be honest, it’s kind of forgettable. Kinda mellow actually. I mean, it’s fine - I just haven’t heard a really addictive tune yet like the Rush songs I already know and love.
Quoted from TinyBlackDog:Nobody near Chicago or St. Louis on this thread? Two locations near me have pros on order but they always are a week or 2 behind those in the Midwest.
I put about 10 games on one today in St. Louis. It was fun. I spent 4 hours playing mostly Rush and Godzilla. Both are a lot of fun. I don't have a whole lot more to say about it.

That's a bit anticlimactic
Sounds like my hike the other day.

snakes & arrows was like that for me initially but about 5 years ago I gave it another listen and really like 'far cry', 'armor & sword', 'spindrift', and 'hope'
on clockwork angels; 'caravan', 'the anarchist', 'the wreckers', and 'headlong flight' are good jams

Headlong Flight, at full volume with a good set of headphones or speakers......RUSH jamming at it's finest!!!

Pinball is fun. It was fun. If you like pinball it seems like a solid machine. Probably the best part of the day was putting up 5 billion on AFM. Highest score I’ve ever put on the game by far.

Geddy’s bass lines on the instrumental ‘Malignant Narcissism’ are just awesome as well.
I may have already mentioned this, but back in the day I was hired to work on a drumming video at this place:
and while there one guy says within earshot to another guy "Rush just booked". Being a Rush fan myself, I often kick myself for not at least trying to get involved at some capacity. The place was magical.

It's ok. Everything I buy or do these days is delayed or late.
Getting used to it.
Good news is that they are hopefully pumping out other games for our fellow pinside friends that have been waiting a long time. Assuming it is not parts common to all their machines.
Quoted from John-Floyd:Flipper toppers arrived - these will look pretty sharp!

where did you get those?
A little birdie told me Rush is landing tomorrow at:

I guess he’s saying it’s as fun as Godzilla but not quite as fun as AFM. So that puts it somewhere in the top 3 on the pinside Top 100.
Quoted from schudel5:Located at One Well in Kalamazoo, MI. Just arrived today (1-24-22).

This has gotta be the first game where a reflection in the glass doesn’t bother me. I hope to have the same Owl reflection in mine and will never change it to HD glass.
I would be honored to be the Op of such thread. Just in case there is another Rush pinball with a tube that connects both machines
.
Quoted from cdnpinbacon:Is there a Rush just music thread ..is that allowed?
Steve Hoffman music forums. You'll find all kinds of Rush music threads.

Pretty sure you can just create an Off Topic thread about anything but politics and sex.

Padavans? I was just there on Sunday. Did they turn up the volume? I wasn't able to hear anything from that pin. Greg said he'd turn it up.
Not sure if this has been posted yet, but if you love Rush, you should watch I Love You, Man. If you have Firestick you can watch it for free. Great comedy with Rush moments.

I've never seen it until now. I'm only half way through it. Pretty funny!

Wish I woulda known he was such a huge fan the couple times we had beers together. We would've talked for hours.

Nope. Benton Parkade. It was my first time there. A few people came and went while I was there but I was mostly alone the whole time. Had a pizza and a latte. Alcohol is an option. I really liked the place.

He would have loved it. He was an ultra mega Rush fan!

Yeah, please stop. You're making those of us from St. Louis just look bad. You have to admit, you just rambled off words and grouped them together and tried to pass off as a review or impression, then said pizza and latte in the same sentence.
Come on, man!
I just kid.. sorta-ish.

Pinball doesn’t need reviews. It’s pinball. It’s fun. Everybody knows that on this website and no one needs a proper review. If pizza and coffee makes this city look bad just wait until they find out about the rampant meth use and racism. Also, don’t know if it makes a difference but it was a breakfast pizza.
