Interesting...didn't realize not everyone was having the problem.
I looked at the manual and the Time Machine part doesn't appear to have any adjustment to move it forward.
When my distributor reached out to Stern support today, Eddie Yates from Stern Support said "We don't have an official fix for this issue at this time, but our team is looking into it.". Until Stern weighs in, I'm not going to move it forward...
